The disclosure relates to the field of wireless communication technology, more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving energy-saving indication information, a device, and a storage medium.
A Common Search Space (CSS) is a search space that a user equipment (US) searches to identify signals or signaling messages. Multiple Common Search Spaces (CSSs) are defined in the 5G New Radio (NR) system for transmitting common downlink control information.
When a user device is in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle state or an RRC inactive state, a main behavior of the user device is to periodically monitor a paging message, and the user device enters an RRC connection state for normal communication after receiving the paging message. Moreover, for a user device, its corresponding Paging Occasion (PO) occurs periodically.

It should be understood that the general description above and the detailed description in the following are only illustrative and explanatory, and do not limit the disclosure.

Further explanation of embodiments of the disclosure is provided with reference to accompanying drawings and detailed implementation.
Reference will now be made in detail to embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. The following description refers to the accompanying drawings in which the same numbers in different drawings represent the same or similar elements unless otherwise represented. The implementations set forth in the following description of embodiments do not represent all implementations consistent with the embodiments of the disclosure. Instead, they are merely examples of apparatuses and methods consistent with aspects related to the disclosure as recited in the appended claims.
It should be noted that in an embodiment of the disclosure, multiple steps may be included. For ease of description, these steps are numbered. However, these numbers are not a limitation on time slots and order of execution between steps. These steps may be implemented in any order, which is not limited in embodiments of the disclosure.
In multiple Common Search Spaces (CSSs) defined in a 5G New Radio (NR) system, Type #0/0-A CSS is a common search space for transmitting downlink control information (DCI) related to scheduling a system message, Type #1 CSS is a common search space for transmitting DCI related to a random access process, and Type #2 CSS is a common search space for transmitting DCI related to scheduling paging. If the Type #2 CSS is not configured, Type #0 CSS is used to transfer the DCI for scheduling paging.
In current protocols, the user device needs to wake up in each paging cycle to synchronize and blindly check for its own Paging DCI in its corresponding PO. In R17, in order to save terminal energy consumption in the idle state, a base station may send a paging early indication (PEI) to the user device. The PEI is carried by DCI.
When a base station sends a (PEI to a user device, if the PEI indicates the user device to go to its own Paging Occasion (PO) to monitor paging DCI, the user device may perform monitoring. If the PEI indicates the terminal not to go to its own PO to monitor paging DCI, the user device does not need to monitor. Thus, unnecessary power consumption for waking up software and hardware for synchronization may be avoided.

In response to the network device not being configured with the control resource set for transmitting the PEI, the DCI carrying the PEI is received based on the default CSS. The default CSS is specified by the communication protocol and is defined as one of Type #0 CSS, Type #0-A CSS, Type #1 CSS, or Type #2 CSS.
In the above implementations, the network device explicitly enables the PEI by sending the system message to the user device, so that the user device monitors paging DCI in a PO only when the PEI indicates the user device to monitor the paging DCI in its own PO, thereby avoiding unnecessary power consumption for waking up software and hardware for synchronization. Moreover, the user device can receive the DCI carrying the PEI through the default CSS.

The power component 1206 provides power to various components of the device 1200. The power component 1206 may include a power management system, one or more power sources, and any other components associated with the generation, management, and distribution of power in the device 1200.
The multimedia component 1208 includes a screen providing an output interface between the device 1200 and a user. In some embodiments, the screen may include a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and a Touch Panel (TP). If the screen includes the touch panel, the screen may be implemented as a touch screen to receive input signals from the user. The touch panel includes one or more touch sensors to sense touches, swipes, and gestures on the touch panel. The touch sensor may not only sense a boundary of a touch or swipe action, but also sense a period of time and a pressure associated with the touch or swipe action. In some embodiments, the multimedia component 1208 includes a front-facing camera and/or a rear-facing camera. When the device 1200 is in an operating mode, such as a shooting mode or a video mode, the front-facing camera and/or the rear-facing camera can receive external multimedia data. Each front-facing camera and rear-facing camera may be a fixed optical lens system or has focal length and optical zoom capability.
The audio component 1210 is configured to output and/or input audio signals. For example, the audio component 1210 includes a microphone (MIC) configured to receive an external audio signal when the device 1200 is in an operation mode, such as a call mode, a recording mode, and a voice recognition mode. The received audio signal may be further stored in the memory 1204 or transmitted via the communication component 1216. In some embodiments, the audio component 1210 further includes a speaker to output audio signals.
The I/O interface 1212 provides an interface between the processing component 1202 and peripheral interface modules, such as a keyboard, a click wheel, buttons, and the like. The buttons may include, but are not limited to, a home button, a volume button, a starting button, and a locking button.
The sensor component 1214 includes one or more sensors to provide status assessments of various aspects of the device 1200. For instance, the sensor component 1214 may detect an open/closed status of the device 1200, relative positioning of components, e.g., the display and the keypad, of the device 1200, a change in position of the device 1200 or a component of the device 1200, a presence or absence of user contact with the device 1200, an orientation or an acceleration/deceleration of the device 1200, and a change in temperature of the device 1200. The sensor component 1214 may include a proximity sensor configured to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact. The sensor component 1214 may also include a light sensor, such as a Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) or Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) image sensor, for use in imaging applications. In some embodiments, the sensor component 1214 may also include an accelerometer sensor, a gyroscope sensor, a magnetic sensor, a pressure sensor, or a temperature sensor.
The communication component 1216 is configured to facilitate communication, wired or wirelessly, between the device 1200 and other devices. The device 1200 can access a wireless network based on a communication standard, such as Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G, or a combination thereof. In an embodiment, the communication component 1216 receives a broadcast signal from an external broadcast management system or broadcasts associated information via a broadcast channel. In an embodiment, the communication component 1216 further includes a Near Field Communication (NFC) module to facilitate short-range communication. For example, the NFC module may be implemented based on a RF Identification (RFID) technology, an Infrared Data Association (IrDA) technology, an Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) technology, a Blue Tooth (BT) technology, and other technologies.
In embodiments, the device 1200 may be implemented with one or more Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), Digital Signal Processing Devices (DSPDs), Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), controllers, micro-controllers, microprocessors or other electronic components, for performing the above described methods.
In one embodiment, there is also provided a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions, such as the memory 1204 including instructions. The instructions can be executed by the processor 1220 of the device 1200 to complete the above methods. For example, the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium may be a ROM, a random access memory (RAM), a CD-ROM, a magnetic tape, a floppy disk, an optical data storage device, etc.
The device 1300 may also include a power component 1326 configured to perform power management of the device 1300, a wired or wireless network interface 1350 configured to connect the device 1300 to a network, and an I/O interface 1358.
