Claims
- 1. A system that facilitates reduction of wiring in connection with networking portable devices, comprising:
a plurality of devices that are electrically networked together via a human body, which serves as a transmission medium for at least a subset of the devices.
- 2. The system of claim 1, an audio signal is transmitted between a subset of the devices through the body.
- 3. The system of claim 1, a power signal is transmitted between a subset of the devices through the body.
- 4. The system of claim 1, a command signal is transmitted between a subset of the devices through the body.
- 5. The system of claim 1, a video signal is transmitted between a subset of the devices through the body.
- 6. The system of claim 1, a digital signal is transmitted between a subset of the devices through the body.
- 7. The system of claim 1, an analog signal is transmitted between a subset of the devices through the body.
- 8. The system of claim 3, a digital signal and/or information signal is modulated on the power signal.
- 9. The system of claim 1, one of the plurality of devices serves as a power supply for a subset of the devices.
- 10. The system of claim 1, one of the plurality of devices serves as a power supply for all other devices.
- 11. The system of claim 1, at least one of the devices is a set of electronic earrings.
- 12. The system of claim 11, the earrings measure functions of the human body and/or play audio.
- 13. The system of claim 1, a first device is employed to control a second device.
- 14. The system of claim 1, one of the plurality of devices comprises a kinetic converter.
- 15. The system of claim 1, at least one of the devices comprises electrodes that are placed in physical contact with skin.
- 16. The system of claim 1, at least one of the devices is a watch.
- 17. The system of claim 14, the one device is footwear.
- 18. A portable computing device, comprising:
an interface that electrically couples the device to skin; and a component that transmits to and/or receives a signal from another device via transmission of the signal through a living body.
- 19. The portable computing device of claim 18, wherein the device is a portable data assistant (PDA).
- 20. The portable computing device of claim 18, wherein the device is a watch.
- 21. A system for transceiving signals, comprising:
means for transmitting a signal and using a living body as a transmission medium for the signal; and means for receiving the signal transmitted through the body.
- 22. The system of claim 21, further comprising means for converting amplitude of the signal.
- 23. The system of claim 21, further comprising means for generating the signal.
- 24. A method for transmitting signals, comprising:
generating a signal with a first device; transmitting the signal through living tissue; and using a second device to receive the transmitted signal.
- 25. The method of claim 24, the second device is located within the living tissue.
- 26. The method of claim 25, the second device is located outside the living tissue.
- 27. The method of claim 24, further comprising transmitting the signal upon request from the second device.
- 28. The method of claim 24, further comprising increasing amplitude of the signal to facilitate employment of the signal by the second device.
- 29. The method of claim 24 further comprising sending the signal as a power supply upon detection of low power status of the second device.
- 30. The method of claim 24 further comprising sending the signal as a power supply signal and modulating digital data and/or other information signals on the power supply signal.
- 31. The method of claim 30, wherein the second device employs the power supply signal as a source of power and information.
- 32. The method of claim 24 further comprising transmitting the signal across at least two living beings.
- 33. The method of claim 32, wherein the first device is located on a first living being and the second device if located on a second living being.
