Claims
- 1. A method for forming a container, the method comprising:forming sidewall blanks in a container forming unit, the sidewall blanks being formed from a blank by wrapping the blank around vertical wrapping mandrels and by seaming the blank together by opposite edges of the blank; sealing of the sidewall blank at one end with a lid member by inserting a lid member into the sidewall blank, the lid member having a discharge hole sealed with a openable closing member; transferring the sidewall blank with one open end along a conveyer track which has a shape of an upside-down U to a filling unit such that the sidewall blank is delivered to the filling unit with the open end facing up; filing the container; and sealing the container with a bottom member.
- 2. A method according to claim 1, wherein the lid member with a closed discharge hole is provided to the container forming unit from a continuous web that is provided with consecutive closed discharge holes at points corresponding to the places of the detachable lid members.
- 3. A method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the edge of the lid member has been folded in such a way that it projects considerably upwards from the plane of the lid member, and the lid member and the sidewall blank are placed together so that the lid member is inside the sidewall blank its edge in the longitudinal direction of the sidewall blank, after which the end of the sidewall blank is folded inwards around the edge of the lid member.
- 4. A method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein sidewall blanks closed with a lid member are formed in a container-forming unit, where the sidewall blanks are wrapped around wrapping mandrels that are transferred between different processing stations, and the lid members with a closed discharged hole are placed on the ends of the wrapping mandrels and inserted into the sidewall blanks and the formed containers are transferred with one end open to the filing unit, where they move in succession in upright position with the open end facing up past the filling station, where they are filled.
- 5. A method according to claim 4, wherein the can is transferred from the wrapping mandrel in its longitudinal direction from the container-forming unit to the filling Unit.
- 6. A method according to claim 1 wherein the can is conveyed pneumatically from the container-forming unit to the filling unit along a tube acting as conveyor track in the longitudinal direction of the wrapping mandrel along a tube following the wrapping mandrel.
- 7. A method according to claim 6 wherein the hole is enclosed with a closing flap which is seamed at its edges to the material of the lid member around the discharge hole.
- 8. A method for forming a container, the method comprising:forming sidewall blanks in a container forming unit, the sidewall blanks being formed from a blank by wrapping the blank around vertical wrapping mandrels mounted on a rotating horizontal table which rotates to more than one processing station and by seaming the blank together by opposite edges of the blank; sealing the sidewall blank on the mandrel at one end with a lid by inserting the lid into the sidewall blank, the lid having a discharge hole sealed with an openable closing member; transferring the sidewall blank with the lid and with one open end in its longitudinal direction from the mandrel along a conveyer track to a container filling unit; inverting the sidewall blank with the lid such that the sidewall blank is delivered to the filling unit with the open end facing up; filling the container; and sealing the container with a bottom member.
- 9. A method according to claim 8, wherein the lid with a closed discharge hole is provided to the container forming unit from a continuous web that is provided with consecutive closed discharge holes.
- 10. A method according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the edge of the lid has been folded in such a way that it projects considerably upwards from the plane of the lid, and the lid and the sidewall blank are placed together so that the lid is inside the sidewall blank it edge in the longitudinal direction of the sidewall blank, after which the end of the sidewall blank is folded inwards around the edge of the blank.
- 11. A method according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the sidewall blanks are wrapped around the vertical wrapping mandrels on the horizontal table that are rotably transferred between different processing stations, and the lids with a closed discharge hole are placed on the ends of the wrapping mandrels and inserted into the sidewall blanks to form containers which are transferred with one end open to the filing unit, where they move in succession in upright position with one end open to the filing unit, where they move in succession in upright position with the open end facing up past the filling station, where they are filled.
- 12. A method according to claim 11 wherein the the containers are transferred from the wrapping mandrel in their longitudinal direction from the container-forming unit to the filling unit.
- 13. A method according to claim 11, wherein the containers are conveyed along a conveyor track, which has the shape of an upside-down U, from the container-forming unit to the filling unit.
- 14. A method according to claim 11 wherein the containers are conveyed pneumatically from the container-forming unit to the filling unit along a tube acting as conveyor track in the longitudinal direction of the wrapping mandrel along a tube following the wrapping mandrel.
- 15. A method according to claim 14 wherein the hole is enclosed with a closing flap which is seamed at its edges to the material of the lid around the discharge hole.
- 16. A method for forming a container, the method comprising:forming sidewall blanks in a container forming unit, the sidewall blanks being formed from a blank by wrapping the blank around vertical wrapping mandrels and by seaming the blank together by opposite edges of the blank; sealing of the sidewall blank on the mandrel at one end with a lid by placing lids with a closed discharge hole on the end of the wrapping mandral and inserting the lid into the sidewall blank, the lid having a discharge hole sealed with a openable closing member; transferring the sidewall blank with one open end in its longitudinal direction along a conveyer track to a filling unit such that the sidewall blank is delivered to the filling unit with the open end facing up; filling the container; and sealing the container with a bottom member.
- 17. A method according to claim 16, wherein the lid member with a closed discharge hole is provided to the container forming unit from a continuous web that is provided with consecutive closed discharge holes at points corresponding to the places of the detachable lid members.
- 18. A method according to claim 16 or 17, wherein the edge of the lid member has been folded in such a way that it projects considerably upwards from the plane of the lid member, and the lid member and the sidewall blank are placed together so that the lid member.
- 19. A method according to claim 16 or 17, wherein the can is conveyed along a conveyor track, which has the shape of an upside-down U, from the container-forming unit to the filling unit.
- 20. A method according to claim 16 or 17, wherein the can is conveyed pneumatically from the container-forming unit to the filling unit along a tube acting as conveyor track in the longitudinal direction of the wrapping mandrel along a tube following the wrapping mandrel.
