Claims
- 1. A system for detecting insufficiency of an engine oil of an engine having an engine oil supply passage, comprising:
- pressure detection means for detecting whether or not an engine oil pressure in said engine oil supply passage is lower than a predetermined pressure level;
- alarming means connected to said pressure detection means, for generating an alarm when it is detected by said pressure detection means, after a starting of the engine, that said engine oil pressure is lower than the predetermined pressure level; and
- control means connected to said pressure detection means and said alarming means, for operating said alarming means for a predetermined time period when it is detected by said pressure detection means, upon starting of the engine, that said engine oil pressure is equal to or higher than the predetermined pressure level, thereby to indicate that the pressure detection means is operating properly and the engine oil pressure is high enough.
