The present subject matter is related in general to managing systems, more particularly, but not exclusively to a method and system for managing an event engaged by group of participants in real-time.
In conventional systems and methods, tracking participants contribution in real-time remains challenging as automated systems which are currently existing needs to evaluate based on certain parameters such as attentiveness, group collaboration skills, completion of assigned tasks and so on. Further, in the conventional systems and methods, the participant may drive meetings or group discussions where the participant will be maintaining a set of physical records corresponding to topics and derives inferences of meeting corresponding to the topic. Further, the participant will be suggesting the ways to improve the other participants in the meeting and can help in arriving at the qualitative measures to follow such as good coordination, areas of improvement, and the like.
In an example, multi-party conversations such as project review meetings, interviews, or any other meetings happen involving multiple people and multiple rounds of discussion takes place. In such kind of discussions, it is very much important and critical to drive the conversation effectively and further evaluate the contribution of each member on various kinds of aspects. Each of the member's contribution is not only based on the tasks completed. The following are the key aspects such as time taken for each task to complete, interpersonal relationship score, group collaboration score, and attention co-ordination score (which determines the alertness and proactive skills of the user) that are used to evaluate the contribution of each team member.
Some of the existing systems to manage the events disclose to capture initiation of meetings and record the meeting content. This may be used to index and identify the context or topics discussed and used to generate summaries of the meeting. Other existing systems may disclose to obtain an audio signal collected from a video conference signal and converting the audio signal into text. This may be correlated to form a conference summary. However, none of the systems teach to dynamically manage an event based on real-time data. Also, none of the systems disclose to inference the event based on the real-time data.
The information disclosed in this background of the disclosure section is only for enhancement of understanding of the general background of the invention and should not be taken as an acknowledgement or any form of suggestion that this information forms the prior art already known to a person skilled in the art.

In an embodiment, the input data process module 206 may be configured to process the input data 208 by performing one or more tasks associated with Natural Language Processing (NLP), for managing the event. The processed input data may be stored as the input data 208 in the memory 107. In an embodiment, the one or more tasks may include, but are not limited to, removing stop words and punctuations, performing lemmatization, and tagging Part-Of-Speech (POS) in the input data 208. Also, the one or more tasks may include, but are not limited to, mapping utterances in the input data 208 with <Argument-Relationship> information using a semantic parser. In an embodiment, details related to <Argument-Relationship> information may be obtained through a semantic parser implemented in input data receive module 201. In an embodiment, performing the semantic parsing, task specific actions in the input data 208 may be identified. For example, if an utterance from a participant is identified to be “THE MODULE IS NOT YET READY FOR DEPLOYMENT”, from the input data 208. By performing the one or more tasks, the <Argument-Relationship> information may be determined to be <Module—Not completed>. By such tasks, inference of actions performed by each participant from the group of participants 103 may be generated. Further, by performing the one or more tasks, the processed input data 208 may be used to profile each participant from the group of participants 103, index the one or more behavioural attribute of the group of participants 103 and generate the one or more alerts 213.
Further, the participant profile module 202 may be configured to profile each participant from the group of participants 103, during the event. The profiling may be based on the input data 208 and a pre-stored event data 210 associated with the event. For profiling a participant, the input data 208 may include gestures, actions, opinions, associated with the participant. The actions of the participants 103 may include scrolling of a document, looking at the document, writing notes, and so on. In an embodiment, the input data 208 may also include voice specific sentiments of the participant, for profiling the participants. In an embodiment, the pre-stored data may include information such as tasks associated with the participant, frequency of common emails shared, data in subject line of the emails, filtered dialog acts (i.e., affirmative/negation/repeated utterances of a participant) associated with participants and tasks, time period of the task discussed, status of the tasks (i.e., if the task is completed, percentage of completion, discussions involved, not discussed over a period and so on), shared tasks, and member information from bug-reports and so. Further, for the profiling the participant-specific data and the group-specific data may be generated for the participant. The participant profile module 202 may implement an adaptive learning to generate and dynamically update the participant-specific data and the group-specific data for the participant. In an embodiment, the each of the participant-specific data and the group-specific data may be in stored in as vector representation.
In an embodiment, the participant-specific data may include user specific information such as skills, task-assigned, topics discussed in emails and so on. Consider “P” is the participant-specific data for the participant. Vector representation of P may be as in equation 1, given below:
P
i=(S1i,T1i,TP1i,I1i,I2i, . . . ) (1)
where Pi is the participant-specific data for the ith participant,
S1i is skills associated with the ith participant;
T1i is tasks associated with the ith participant;
TP1i is topic associated with the ith participant;
I1i is attention coordination index of the ith participant; and
I2i is inter personal index of the it participant.
In an embodiment, the skills S1i and the tasks T1i may be represented as in equations 2 and 3, respectively, given below:
S
1i=(s1,s2,s3 . . . ,sn) (2)
T
1i=(t1,t2,t3 . . . ,tn) (3)
In an embodiment, the participant-specific data may be updated when new information is available for the participant. In an example, consider a scenario where a java related project discussion is happening in a conference room and it may be identified that a new skill of “machine learning” is required to be known by the participant along with JAVA, J2EE, and SPARK. New skill i.e., the “machine learning” is updated in S1i.
In an embodiment, the text data from the input data 208 may be tokenized into one or more input keywords. The one or more input keywords may be used to identify intent of the topic on which the participant is discussing in the event. For example, “power point presentation” is a trigram, which provides irrelevant meaning while words are considered individually in utterance of the participant from meeting logs, mails, and tasks assigned and skills. In an embodiment, co-occurrence features along with topics discussed in the event may help in generating real-time action predictions. Such real-time action predictions may be included in the participant-specific data of the participant.
In an embodiment, the group-specific data for a participant may be include relationship of the participant-specific data with respect to the context of the event. For example, task of a participant with respect to the context of the user may be included in the group-specific data. When the task is debugging an error for deployment of a project. In an embodiment, the indexed values of the one or more behavioural attributes 211 may be stored as the index data 212.
The indexing of the interpersonal attribute of a participant may be performed using the participant-specific data and the input data 208 associated with the participant. For example, in an application, which is built for a virtual interviewer with avatar, everyone's inter personal relationship or coordination is analysed by analyzing the textual information, vision, and voice inputs from the individual in group discussion or individual interviews. This will help the application to take a decision to select the person or not. In an embodiment, the interpersonal index refers to strength of association between any two-participants. Each participant interacts with others based on the common tasks and their dependencies. A matrix representing the strength of association among participants may be built and dynamically updated based on the shared tasks and their frequency of interaction using one or more features such as frequency of specific mails. In an embodiments, one on one discussions in the meetings, common tasks assigned and worked and criticality of the tasks, on-time completion of the tasks during shared tasks may also be considered for indexing the interpersonal attribute.
The indexing of the attention attribute of a participant may be performed based on the participant-specific data, the input data 208 and the alert data 213 associated with the participant. In an embodiment the indexing of the inter-personal attribute may be used for indexing the attention attribute. Further, the indexing of the attention attribute may be used to pro-actively alert the participants while relevant topics are discussed to make sure that the participant is following the instructions/paying attention to the ongoing presentation. In an embodiment, the attention index may be indexed using frequency of deviation from the discussed topics during meetings, time taken to provide updates on tasks, frequency and types of clarification questions asked in meeting, alerts required are provided to the participant to bring back to the ongoing topic and so on.
The indexing of the group co-ordination attribute of a participant may be performed based on the pre-stored event data 210, the group-specific data and the input data 208 associated with the participant. In an embodiment, the tasks and their action/opinion association derived from semantic parsing, frequency of common emails shared, email subject, the filtered dialog acts associated with participants and tasks, recent task discussed, associated with decay factor that reaches “0” if the topic/task is completed/not discussed over a period, shared tasks and participant information from bug-reports may be used for the indexing. In an embodiment, the pre-stored data may include historical information such as meeting agenda (i.e., the information on topics to be covered), e-mail communications, presentations, and timeline based Minutes of the Meeting (MoM), meeting logs, design documents, and so on.
Further, during the event, the alert generate module 204 of the event managing system 101 may be configured to generate the one or more alerts 213 to provide to at least one participant from the group of participants 103, during the event. The one or more alerts 213 may be generated based on the profiling and the indexing of the corresponding participant, the input data 208, and the pre-stored event data 210. In an embodiment, the one or more alerts 213 for the at least one participant may be generated using a trained deep neural network. In an embodiment, the trained model may be a Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) model is implemented to learn context, proactively alert, and dynamically generate recommendations to task specific participants when a relevant topic deviation occurs during the event. In an embodiment, the LSTM model may be configured to perform semantic parsing of the input data 208 to learn the context of the event and detect the deviation in the context. In an embodiment, the deviation of the context may include switch in the context of the event and also discrepancy in sequence of activities of the event. In an embodiment, the sequence of activities may be stored as the pre-stored data. The set of activities may be used by the LSTM model for predicting next activity based on current activity. If the predicted activity is not part of topic assigned, the LSTM model may be configured to predict the deviation.
Occurrence of a deviation in context of the event may be detected based on the input data 208 and the pre-stored event data 210. In an embodiment, features associated with one or more input keywords from the input data 208 may be extracted to identify at least one on-going topic in the event. The features of the one or more input keywords may be compared with features of one or more pre-stored keywords from the pre-stored event data 210. By the comparison, a mismatch between the one or more input keywords and the one or more pre-stored keywords may be detected. By detecting the mismatch, the occurrence of the deviation in the context may be detected. Upon detecting the occurrence of the deviation, the at least one participant associated with the occurrence may be identified. The at least one participant may be identified using the input data 208 and the participant-specific data of the group of participants 103. The one or more alerts 213 may be generated with respect to the deviation in context and provided to the at least one participant. Consider a scenario illustrated in
