Claims
- 1. A system for presenting a video call management information, the system comprising:
a video device management platform interfaced with plural video devices, the video devices communicating in one or more video calls; an alarm tracker associated with the video management platform and operable to track alarms associated with the video calls; and an alarm priority module in communication with the alarm tracker, the alarm priority module operable to determine the priority of the video calls for display by comparing the alarms associated with the video calls.
- 2. The system of claim 1 further comprising a display in communication with the alarm priority module and operable to present a list of the video calls in the order of priority determined by the alarm priority module.
- 3. The system of claim 2 wherein the display presents a call lock operable to set the order of display of one or more video calls.
- 4. The system of claim 3 wherein the call lock sets the order of display of a selected video call as the order existing at the time of selection of the call lock for the selected video call.
- 5. The system of claim 3 wherein the call lock sets the order of display of one or more selected video calls as the order associated with the highest priority.
- 6. The system of claim 1 wherein the alarm priority module compares the number of alarms associated with each video call.
- 7. The system of claim 1 wherein the alarm priority module compares the rate of alarms associated with each video call.
- 8. A method for presenting video call management information, the method comprising:
tracking parameters associated with plural video devices, the plural video devices supporting plural video calls; analyzing the parameters to determine a priority associated with the video calls; and displaying the status of the video calls in an order corresponding to the determined priority.
- 9. The method of claim 8 wherein:
tracking parameters further comprises tracking the number of alarms associated with each video device in a video call; and displaying the status further comprises displaying the video calls as an ordered list, the list order corresponding to the number of alarms.
- 10. The method of claim 8 wherein tracking parameters further comprises tracking the rate of alarms associated with the video devices.
- 11. The method of claim 8 further comprising:
inputting a priority status for a video call; and displaying the video call in an order corresponding to the priority status.
- 12. The method of claim 8 further comprising:
locking the order of the display of a selected video call; and adjusting the order of the display of the status of the video calls to changes in the parameters except for the order of the selected video call.
- 13. The method of claim 8 further comprising:
determining that a parameter is outside of acceptable bounds for a video call; and identifying the video call with a color in the display of the ordered list.
- 14. The method of claim 8 wherein analyzing the parameters further comprises:
weighting the parameters for the severity of a problem associated with the video devices and measured by the parameters.
- 15. The method of claim 8 wherein analyzing the parameters further comprises:
comparing a parameter associated with a first video call and a second video call listed proximate to each other, the first video call listed in a higher priority order than the second video call; and re-ordering the first and second video calls if the compared parameter indicates a higher priority for the second video call.
- 16. The method of claim 15 further comprising:
determining that the first video call has a locked order; and maintaining the order of the first and second video calls even if the compared parameter indicates a higher priority for the second video call.
- 17. A user interface comprising:
a display of video call management information having a list of calls in progress by plural video devices, the list of calls in progress including parameters of the plural video device devices, the display operable to re-order the list of calls in progress based on the parameters so that calls associated with one or more preselected parameters are more prominently displayed than other calls.
- 18. The user interface of claim 17 wherein the preselected parameters comprise the number of jitter alarms.
- 19. The user interface of claim 17 wherein the preselected parameters comprises the number of latency alarms.
- 20. The user interface of claim 17 wherein the preselected parameters comprises the number of linearity alarms.
