Abstract
Methods and systems for providing sponsored content based on user information are provided. A method for providing sponsored content for use with a business application includes obtaining a user profile of a user of a business application. The user profile is used to provide sponsored content for use with the business application.

Claims
  • 1. A computerized method for providing sponsored content for use with a business application, comprising: obtaining a user profile of a user of a business application; andusing the user profile to provide sponsored content for use with the business application.
  • 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the user profile comprises demographic information of the user.
  • 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the user profile comprises an identity of the user.
  • 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the user profile comprises a user interest of the user.
  • 5. The method of claim 4, wherein the user interest is identified by the user.
  • 6. The method of claim 4, wherein the user interest is determined based on user activity of the user in the business application.
  • 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the business application comprises a business process application
  • 8. The method of claim 1, further comprising selecting the sponsored content dynamically during use of the business application.
  • 9. The method of claim 1, further comprising selecting the sponsored content based on monetization of sponsored content.
  • 10. The method of claim 1, further comprising presenting the sponsored content to the user in the business application.
  • 11. The method of claim 1, wherein the sponsored content comprises advertising.
  • 12. A computerized method for providing sponsored content for use with a business application, comprising: monitoring user activity of a user in a business application; andusing the user activity to provide sponsored content for use with the business application.
  • 13. The method of claim 12, wherein the user activity comprises a history of selections made by the user in the business application.
  • 14. The method of claim 12, wherein the user activity comprises a history of network links visited by the user in the business application.
  • 15. The method of claim 12, wherein the sponsored content comprises advertising.
  • 16. The method of claim 12, further comprising presenting the sponsored content to the user in a business application.
  • 17. The method of claim 12, further comprising selecting the sponsored content dynamically during use of the business application.
  • 18. The method of claim 12, further comprising selecting the sponsored content based on monetization of sponsored content.
  • 19. A computerized method for providing sponsored content for use with a computer application, comprising: storing a user interest of a user in a computer application; andproviding sponsored content to the user in a computer application based on the user interest.
  • 20. The method of claim 19, wherein the sponsored content comprises advertising.
  • 21. A computerized method for providing sponsored content, comprising: aggregating user information for a plurality of users of a computer application; andproviding sponsored content to users of the computer application based on the aggregated user information.
  • 22. The method of claim 21, wherein the computer application comprises a business application.
  • 23. The method of claim 22, wherein the business application comprises a business process application.
  • 24. The method of claim 21, wherein the sponsored content comprises advertising.
  • 25. A system for providing sponsored content for use with a business application, comprising: memory storing sponsored content for use with a business application, at least a portion of the sponsored content comprising advertising; andone or more processors operable to: monitor user activity of a user in the business application, the user activity comprises at least a history of selections made by the user in the business application and a history of network links visited by the user in the business application; anduse the user activity to provide a selected portion of the sponsored content to the user in the business application.
  • 26. A computerized method for providing sponsored content for use with a client-side application, comprising: communicating with a remotely-hosted business application;receiving sponsored content selected based on a user profile of a user of a business application; andproviding the sponsored content for use with the business application.
  • 27. The method of claim 26, wherein the user profile comprises at least one of demographic information of the user, an identity of the user, and a user interest of the user.
