Claims
- 1. A method of accessing a medium contained within a cartridge, comprising:
- providing an outer shell having top and bottom planar surfaces and having an opening along a portion of a peripheral edge;
- providing a substantially circular inner shell within said outer shell, said inner shell having top and bottom planar surfaces and having an opening along a peripheral edge and extending into said top and bottom planar surfaces of said inner shell;
- rotatably disposing the medium between said top and bottom planar surfaces of said inner shell; and
- aligning said inner shell peripheral edge opening with respect to said outer shell peripheral edge opening such that a reading/recording device is enabled to move onto said medium in a plane parallel to said medium.
- 2. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein said medium comprises a magnetic medium.
- 3. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein said inner shell is pivotally attached to said outer shell.
- 4. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein said outer shell comprises a substantially wedge-shaped opening extending into said top and bottom planar surfaces of said outer shell from said peripheral edge opening of said outer shell.
