Claims
- 1. The method of attracting Aedes aegyptae comprising exposing a three dimensional space inhabitable by Aedes aegyptae in an Aedes aegyptae-attracting effective concentration and quantity of a composition of matter comprising 2-undecyl acetate defined according to the structure: ##STR42##
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein the 2-undecyl acetate is embedded in a polymer selected from the group consisting of copolymers of ethylene and a polar vinyl monomer selected from:
- (a) vinyl acetate;
- (b) ethyl acrylate;
- (c) methyl acrylate;
- (d) butyl acrylate; and
- (e) acrylic acid;
- and the hydrolyzed copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate compatible with said 2-undecyl acetate.
