Claims
- 1. A process for introducing a fluorine atom into the ring structure of an aromatic compound which comprises the step of effecting a substitution reaction between (1) an aromatic compound selected from the group consisting of benzene, toluene and nitrobenzene and (2) a hydrogen fluoride solvent solution of NF.sub.4 BF.sub.4.
- 2. A process in accordance with claim 1 wherein said aromatic compound is benzene.
- 3. A process in accordance with claim 1 wherein said aromatic compound is toluene.

The invention described herein may be manufactured and used by or for the Government for governmental purposes without the payment of any royalty thereon.
