Claims
- 1. A process for the manufacturing of a collecting pipe of a heat exchanger in which the collecting pipe is wound in several layers from a strip-shaped metal sheet comprising the steps of winding the metal sheet of required width, along with a soldering foil, onto a rotatable winding pin having a required collecting pipe inside diameter, and punching cutouts in the sheet via punches provided on the interior of the winding pin which act against a counterpart mounted on the outside of the pipe.
- 2. The process according to claim 1, further including the step of displacing the punches, together with the counterpart, for punching-out of a row of cutouts disposed in a circumferential direction next to one another, by an axial distance of the cutouts.
- 3. The process according to claim 1, wherein the step of punching the cutouts includes disposing the cutouts above one another in a geometrically similar manner from the outside to the inside with increasing size such that the cutouts define conical openings in the collecting pipes and, after the step of fitting and fastening the streamlined-section tubes, in the cutouts, buildup welding the small streamlined-section tubes for connection with the collecting pipe.
- 4. A process for manufacturing a heat exchanger having at least two collecting pipes connected with one another by a plurality of small streamlines-section tubes and comprising several connected sheet metal layers, comprising the steps of
- a) forming in the sheet metal layers cutouts for the small streamlined-section tubes;
- b) forming the sheet metal layers in one of a count continuous form and a stacked individual layer form such that the cutouts are aligned;
- c) providing the sheet metal layers with a solder layer on at least one side thereof;
- d) fitting and fastening the small streamlined-section tubes into the cutouts; and
- e) applying a soldering temperature with a heat source radially from the inside of the collecting pipes until the layers are connected.
- 5. The process according to claim 4, wherein the step of forming the cutouts includes disposing the cutouts above one another in a geometrically similar manner from the outside to the inside with increasing size such that the cutouts define conical openings in the collecting pipes and, after the step of fitting and fastening the small streamlined-section tubes, in the cutouts, buildup welding the small streamlined-section tubes for connection with the collecting pipe.
