Claims
- 1. An apparatus for manufacturing individualized ear device shells comprising a support for powder or liquid material, a source arrangement generating in the powder or liquid material at said support a spot of increased energy, a control arrangement controlling a location of said spot to move along at least two first closed loops in said material in a first cycle and subsequently along at least two second closed loops adjacent and substantially along said first closed loops in a second cycle.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said support comprises a bed for said powder or liquid material.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said source arrangement comprises at least one laser beam source.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising a dispenser arrangement for dispensing said powder or liquid material as a layer upon said bed.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein said bed is planar.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein said control arrangement controls said movement of said spot from said first closed loops towards said second closed loops by controlling a movement of said bed.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said control arrangement controls location of said spot to move first along one of said at least two first closed loops and subsequently along a second of said at least two first closed loops.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said control arrangement controls location of said spot to intermittently move along said at least two first closed loops.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said source arrangement generates at least two of said spots and said control arrangement controls location of said at least two spots to simultaneously move along said at least two first closed loops.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said control arrangement comprises a digital data storage with data defining said at least two first and at least two second closed loops.
- 11. An apparatus for manufacturing individualized ear device shells comprising:
a support; means to deposit liquid or powder material on the support; means to solidify the material in individually shaped layers; and a control unit having a data input, wherein the control unit controls the means to solidify based on data of a three-dimensional shape of an individual's area of application to solidify the material in layers corresponding to individual contours of each layer.
- 12. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the means to solidify is a laser.
- 13. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein said support comprises a bed for said powder or liquid material.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the means to deposit is a dispenser arrangement for dispensing said powder or liquid material as a layer upon said bed.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein said bed is planar.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the means to solidify comprises a source arrangement generating in the powder or liquid material at said support a spot of increased energy, and the control unit controls a location of said spot to move along at least two first closed loops in said material in a first cycle and subsequently along at least two second closed loops adjacent and substantially along said first closed loops in a second cycle.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 11 further comprising means for lowering the support after each layer is solidified.
- 18. The apparatus of claim 11 further comprising a second means to solidify the material in individually shaped layers, wherein the apparatus is adapted to manufacture two devices by simultaneously solidifying individual layers of both devices based on data of three-dimensional shapes of different areas of application to solidify the material in layers corresponding to individual contours of each layer.
