Claims
- 1. A dental restoration which is formed from a glass ceramic material, which does not deform during heat treating, comprising the following composition (by weight percent);Li2O 8-15Al2O31.5-5.0SiO260-80P2O51.5-5.0Coloring OxidesUp to 5Fluorescing AgentsUp to 5Pigments + OpacifiersGlass ModifiersBalance.and wherein the glass ceramic material has a softening temperature of at least 850° C.
- 2. A dental restoration which is formed from a glass-ceramic material, which does not deform during heat treating, comprising the following composition (by weight percent;Li2O 8-15Al2O31.5-5.0SiO260-80P2O51.5-5.0Na2OUp to 2K2OUp to 2ZrO2Up to 3CaOUp to 1BaO + SrO + La2O3 Up to 12Coloring OxidesUp to 5Fluorescing AgentsUp to 5Pigments + Opacifiersand wherein the glass ceramic materials has a softening temperature of at least 850° C.
- 3. A dental restoration which is formed from a glass-ceramic material, which does not deform heat treating, comprising the following composition (by weight percent);Li2O14-15Al2O34.5-5.0SiO267-71Na2O1-2K2O1.5-3.5P2O53-4B2O30-2CaO 0-1.25BaO1.25-3 Tb4O70-1CeO20-1CaO 0-1.25and wherein the glass ceramic material has a softening temperature of at least 850° C.
- 4. A dental restoration which if formed from a glass-ceramic material, which does not deform during heat treating, comprising the following composition (by weight percent);SiO2About 70.6Al2O3About 4.8Li2OAbout 14.7P2O5About 3.6CaOAbout 0.5K2OAbout 2.0Na2OAbout 1.4BaOAbout 1.4B2O3About 0.9and wherein the glass ceramic material has a softening temperature of at least 850° C.
- 5. A dental restoration which is formed from a glass-ceramic material, which does not deform during heat treating, comprising the following composition (by weight percent);SiO2About 68.7Al2O3About 4.8Li2OAbout 14.4P2O5About 3.3CaOAbout 1.0K2OAbout 2.0Na2OAbout 1.5BaOAbout 2.8Tb4O7About 0.7CeO2About 0.7and wherein the glass ceramic material has a softening temperature of at least 850° C.
- 6. A dental restoration which is formed from a glass-ceramic material, which does not deform during heat treating, comprising the following composition by (weight percent);SiO2About 68.8Al2O3About 4.8Li2OAbout 14.5P2O5About 3.3CaOAbout 1.0K2OAbout 2.0Na2OAbout 1.5BaOAbout 2.8B2O3About 1.3and wherein the glass ceramic material has a softening temperature of at least 850° C.
- 7. A dental restoration which is formed from a glass-ceramic material, which does not deform during heat treating, comprising the following composition (by weight percent);SiO2About 68.8Al2O3About 4.8Li2OAbout 14.4P2O5About 3.3CaOAbout 1.0K2OAbout 2.0Na2OAbout 1.4BaOAbout 2.8and wherein the glass ceramic material has a softening temperature of at least 850° C.
- 8. The dental restoration of claim 1, wherein said dental restoration is further altered by applying one or more layer(s) of a porcelain material to said dental restoration, and fusing said porcelain layer(s);wherein the C.T.E. of said porcelain material is slightly more or less than the C.T.E. of the glass ceramic material.
- 9. The dental restoration of claim 2, wherein said dental restoration is further altered by applying one or more layer(s) of a porcelain material to said dental restoration, and fusing said porcelain layer(s);wherein the C.T.E. of said porcelain material is slightly more or less than the C.T.E. of the glass ceramic material.
- 10. The dental restoration of claim 3 wherein said dental restoration is further altered by applying one or more layer(s) of a porcelain material to said dental restoration, and fusing said porcelain layer(s);wherein the C.T.E. of said porcelain material is slightly more or less than the C.T.E. of the glass ceramic material.
- 11. The dental restoration of claim 4, wherein said dental restoration is further altered by applying one or more layer(s) of a porcelain material to said dental restoration, and fusing said porcelain layer(s);wherein the C.T.E. of said porcelain material is slightly more or less than the C.T.E. of the glass ceramic material.
- 12. The dental restoration of claim 5 wherein said dental restoration is further altered by applying one or more layer(s) of a porcelain material to said dental restoration, and fusing said porcelain layer(s)wherein the C.T.E. of said porcelain material is slightly more or less than the C.T.E. of the glass ceramic material.
- 13. The dental restoration of claim 6, wherein said dental restoration is further altered by applying one or more layer(s) of a porcelain material to said dental restoration, and fusing said porcelain layer(s);wherein the C.T.E. of said porcelain material is slightly more or less than the C.T.E. of the glass ceramic material.
- 14. The dental restoration of claim 7 wherein said dental restoration is further altered by applying one or more layer(s) of a porcelain material to said dental restoration, and fusing said porcelain layer(s);wherein the C.T.E. of said porcelain material is slightly more or less than the glass ceramic material.
