Claims
- 1. A coating having anti-reflection characteristics within a visible range, comprising:
- an aluminum layer vapor-deposited on a substrate to a film thickness preventing the transmission of light therethrough under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below, and
- a silicon layer having a film thickness of the order of 300 A vapor-deposited on said aluminum layer under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below.
- 2. A coating having anti-reflection characteristics within a visible range, comprising:
- an aluminum layer vapor-deposited on a substrate to a film thickness preventing the transmission of light therethrough under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below, and
- a chromium layer having a film thickness of the order of 320 A vapor-deposited on said aluminum layer under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or less.
- 3. A coating having anti-reflection characteristics within a visible range, comprising:
- a silver layer vapor-deposited on a substrate to a film thickness preventing the transmission of light therethrough under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below, and
- a silicon layer having a film thickness of the order of 220 A vapor-deposited on said silver layer under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below.
- 4. A coating having anti-reflection characteristics within a visible range, comprising:
- a silver layer vapor-deposited on a substrate to a film thickness preventing the transmission of light therethrough under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below, and
- a chromium layer having a film thickness of the order of 220 A vapor-deposited on said silver layer under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below.
- 5. A coating having anti-reflection characteristics within a visible range, comprising:
- a chromium layer vapor-deposited on a substrate to a film thickness preventing the transmission of light therethrough under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below, and
- a silicon layer having a film thickness of the order of 360 A vapor-deposited on said chromium layer under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below.
- 6. A coating having anti-reflection characteristics within a visible range, comprising:
- a copper layer vapor-deposited on a substrate to a film thickness preventing the transmission of light therethrough under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below, and
- a silicon layer having a film thickness of the order of 200 A vapor-deposited on said copper layer under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below.
- 7. A coating having anti-reflection characteristics within a visible range, comprising:
- a gold layer vapor-deposited on a substrate to a film thickness preventing the transmission of light therethrough under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-5 Torr. or below, and
- a silicon layer having a film thickness of the order of 320 A vapor-deposited on said gold layer under a pressure of 2.times.10.sup.- Torr. or below.
