Claims
- 1. A method of processing a video sequence having a luminance saturated interval, said method comprising of:removing said luminance saturated interval from a series of intervals comprising the video sequence; and altering said video sequence by eliminating said interval entirely from said sequence to accommodate the removal of said interval.
- 2. A method of processing a video sequence having a luminance saturated interval, comprising the steps of:determining difference coefficients between at least one video interval in a series of intervals comprising said sequence and said luminance saturated interval; transmitting only low spatial frequency error coefficients; adding error coefficients to predictive coefficients to produce image coefficients; clipping said image coefficients that lie outside a predefined range; applying an inverse transform to produce pixel values; and clipping pixel values that lie outside a predefined range.
