Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a method for producing fragrance sample delivery paper and to fragrance sample delivery paper. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for producing fragrance sample delivery paper capable of housing and delivering a plurality of fragrance test strips (scent paper, mouillettes, perfume test paper) to be fragrance samples impregnated with perfumes by folding a single piece of rectangular paper, and to such fragrance sample delivery paper.

2. Description of the Related Art

On the market, there are a lot of products promoting goodness of fragrances and products selling fragrances themselves, such as perfumes, cosmetics, toiletry products such as softeners and shampoos, or aroma diffusers, reed diffusers, and the like. When selling those products through mail order, it is difficult for the sellers to provide fragrance samples even though customers desire to check the fragrances of the products before purchasing.

Thus, it is necessary to prepare a method that allows the customers to check the fragrances of the products in some way before selling those products. It is possible to employ a method of sending vials containing a small amount of perfumes in case of perfumes, and sending samples in small aluminum vapored deposition bags called four-sided seals or pouches by envelopes in case of cosmetics and shampoos. However, in a case of products that are used simply for smelling the scent such as aroma diffusers and reed diffusers, the method of sending vials containing several kinds of fragrance samples or sending fragrance samples in pouches for simply checking and selecting the fragrances has not been employed since it is not practical because of its high costs and postal charges as well.

There is a known perfume presenting tool that has a plurality of perfume holding material housing sections and is capable of presenting a plurality of perfumes by inserting and pulling perfume holding materials into/from the perfume holding material housing sections.

A perfume holding material housing section 2: is a section forming a substantially flat saclike shape; is held to a base section 1; has an opening section 3 capable of inserting into, pulling from, and bringing out a perfume holding material H (scent paper (also referred to as mouillette, perfume test paper, or fragrance test strip)) that holds a perfume in a volatilizable manner; and is configured with a perfume impermeable material for preventing the perfume from leaking (see Japanese Patent No. 6612792).

In the configuration of the perfume presenting tool described in Japanese Patent No. 6612792, the perfume holding material housing sections 2 are provided independently and separately from the base section 1. Thus, components for the perfume holding material housing sections 2 are required, which not only increase the production cost but also needs to add a production step of bonding and unifying the perfume holding material housing sections 2 to the base section 1.

Furthermore, when sending the perfume presenting tools to customers, for example, preparation related to delivery is required as well. That is, additional work including insertion of the perfume holding materials H into the perfume holding material housing sections 2, arranging sealed letters, instructions, and the like, and enclosure of those into envelopes are required in addition. Such preparation work is the burden on the retailer side. In Japanese Patent No. 6612792, there is no consideration over reduction of such burden and preparation work.

The present invention is designed in view of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing fragrance sample delivery paper and fragrance sample delivery paper produced thereby. The method for producing fragrance sample delivery paper is capable of reducing the production cost through simplifying the configuration by avoiding increase in the number of components and also capable of simplifying the preparation related to delivery through forming housing sections for housing a plurality of fragrance test strips (scent paper, mouillettes, perfume test paper, or the like) to be fragrance samples impregnated with perfumes by folding a single piece of rectangular paper and applying thermal welding or glue bonding and, moreover, forming the paper into an integral configuration that can be assembled into a postcard, an envelope, or the like.

Each of the saclike sections of the fragrance sample delivery paper according the present invention is formed in a saclike shape from the folding line of the third sheet section toward a direction of the fragrance test strip guide port, and the neighboring saclike sections of the plurality of continuous saclike sections are partitioned by an adhesive.

Each of the saclike sections of the fragrance sample delivery paper according to the present invention has the fragrance test strip guide port closed by a releasable glue applied to the first sheet section, when the sheet is folded at the folding lines.

The producing method according to the present invention is the method for producing the fragrance sample delivery paper by folding a single sheet and forming the first sheet section, the second sheet section, and the third sheet section. Therefore, it is possible to easily produce the fragrance sample delivery paper from a single sheet, thereby making it possible to reduce the materials to be used and the production steps.

Furthermore, by forming a plurality of continuous-shaped fragrance test strip guide ports at an end of the third sheet section in the guide port forming step and by forming a plurality of continuous saclike sections with the fragrance test strip guide ports being the opening through folding the second sheet section and the third sheet section, a plurality of fragrance test strips (fragrance samples) can be housed in the saclike sections. This makes it possible to reduce the materials to be used and the production steps and also to provide a plurality of fragrance test strips (fragrance samples) by a single piece of fragrance sample delivery paper easily.

Furthermore, by covering the fragrance test strip guide ports with a part of the first sheet section where the releasable glue is applied, it is possible to prevent the perfumes from leaking to the inner side of the folded sheet S and to prevent the different perfumes from being mixed on the inner side of the folded sheet S.

Moreover, since the releasable glue on the first sheet section covering the fragrance test strip guide ports also functions as the releasable glue for bonding the first sheet section and the second sheet section, it is possible to reduce the materials to be used and the production steps.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Hereinafter, a method for producing fragrance sample delivery paper according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. As illustrated in FIGS. 2A and 2B, a sheet S of the fragrance sample delivery paper is formed into a tri-fold sheet S configured with a first sheet section 1 (first inner-side face 2, first outer-side face 3), a second sheet section 4 (second inner-side face 5, second outer-side face 6), and a third sheet section 7 (third inner-side face 8, third outer-side face 9). The sheet S is formed into a tri-fold shape in which the third sheet section 7 is folded and bonded to the second inner-side face 5 to configure saclike sections 21, fragrance test strips 30 are inserted into the saclike sections 21, and the first inner-side face 2 (first outer-side face 3) and the second inner-side face 5 (second outer-side face 6) are bonded.

Detailed configurations of each member will be described along the production steps. FIG. 1 to FIGS. 14A and 14B are diagrams showing the production steps of the fragrance sample delivery paper according to the present embodiment.

FIG. 1 is a chart showing a processing flow when producing the fragrance sample delivery paper according to the embodiment.

(1) Sheet Cutting Step

First, a sheet cutting step is performed to cut out the sheet S into a prescribed size as shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 (step S1 shown in FIG. 1).

The sheet S is cut into a rectangular shape with a side H being about 148 mm that is equivalent to the long side of a typical postal card and with a side L (L1+L2+L3) being in the length falling in a range of 220 to 280 mm. Note that the sides L1 and L2 may be about 100 mm that is equivalent to the short side of a typical postal card. The side L3 may simply need to be shorter than L1 and L2, and it is desirable to be about 20 to 80 mm.

As for the sheet S, it is preferable to use paper in a proper thickness suited for laminating a film such as polypropylene (PP) exhibiting a high gas barrier property (PP treatment). For example, it may be possible to use paper whose basis weight after laminating the first sheet 1 and the second sheet 4 is about the basis weight of a postal card (about 210 g/m2).

Furthermore, in a printing step that is performed generally in printing companies, necessary printing is applied on the first inner-side face 2, the first outer-side face 3, and the second inner-side face 5, and PP lamination is applied on both sides of the paper entirely or on part of both sides. Alternatively, a resin (PP with a high gas barrier property is desirable) sheet in a proper thickness with printing applied thereon may be used instead of the paper. Note, however, that the surface of the PP used for the PP treatment or the resin sheet is desirable to be mat-finished where writing using a pen is possible.

Note that polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), oriented polypropylene (OPP), oriented nylon (ONy), aluminum foil (AL foil), aluminum metalized film (ALVM), and the like exhibiting a gas barrier property are known as the resin, and any of those materials may be used instead of polypropylene (PP).

(2) Creasing Step

Then, as shown in FIG. 4, a creasing step is performed to form folding lines on the sheet S cut in step S1 for making it easy to fold the sheet S (step S2 shown in FIG. 1).

The sizes of L1, L2, and L3 of the sheet S are measured, and creasing is applied to form a first folding line 11 on a boundary position between L1 and L2 and to form a second folding line 12 on a boundary position between L2 and L3, respectively. Thereby, the sheet S is sectioned into three areas including the first sheet section 1 (first inner-side face 2, first outer-side face 3), the second sheet section 4 (second inner-side face 5, second outer-side face 6), and the third sheet section 7 (third inner-side face 8, third outer-side face 9). As for the direction of creasing, as shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B, the first folding line 11 is formed to be in a valley fold direction such that the first inner-side face 2 and the second inner-side face 5 face each other. Furthermore, the second folding line 12 is formed to be in a valley fold direction such that the second inner-side face 5 and the third inner-side face 8 face each other.

Note that the first inner-side face 2 of the first sheet section 1 is a gluing face for applying releasable glues 13A, 13B, and an advertisement, a description, or the like may be printed thereon in advance.

The first outer-side face 3 of the first sheet section 1 configures a back face of a postal card, when the sheet S is folded. An advertisement, a description, or the like may be printed thereon in advance.

The second inner-side face 5 of the second sheet section 4 configures one face on the inner side of the sheet S by being bonded to the first inner-side face 2 and the third outer-side face 9, when the sheet S is folded.

The second outer-side face 6 of the second sheet section 4 configures the address side on the front face of the postal card, when the sheet S is folded. The second outer-side face 6 has a space for affixing a stamp and writing a name and address/residence.

The third inner-side face 8 of the third sheet section 7 configures the inner side of a plurality of saclike sections 21 by being bonded to the second inner-side face 5, when the sheet S is folded.

The third outer-side face 9 of the third sheet section 7 configures the outer side of the plurality of saclike sections 21 and one face on the inner side of the sheet S by being bonded to the first inner-side face 2 along with the second inner-side face 5, when the sheet S is folded.

Also, the first outer-side face 3 may be used as the face for writing a name and address/residence, and the second outer-side face 6 may be used as the face for printing a description or the like. Furthermore, when the sheet S is not to be sent by mail, both of the first outer-side face 3 and the second outer-side face 6 may be used as the faces for printing an advertisement, a description, or the like.

(3) Guide Port Forming Step

Then, as shown in FIG. 5, a guide port forming step is performed to form a plurality of continuous notch-shaped fragrance test strip guide ports 20 in a short-side section of the third sheet section 7 on the opposite side of the second sheet section 4 (step S3 shown in FIG. 1).

The fragrance test strip guide port 20 is an inlet for inserting the fragrance test strip 30 into the saclike section 21 that is configured by bonding the third inner-side face 8 and the second inner-side face 5. By providing the fragrance test strip guide port 20, the fragrance test strip 30 can be inserted smoothly without being caught at the inlet when the fragrance test strip 30 is inserted into the saclike section 21.

The notch shape of the fragrance test strip guide port 20 in the present embodiment is formed into a semicircular shape so as to be able to insert the fragrance test strip 30 easily. However, the notch shape of the fragrance test strip guide port 20 is not limited thereto, but may be formed in any shapes such as a triangular shape, a semi-elliptical shape, or a rectangular shape.

Furthermore, the number of fragrance test strip guide ports 20 provided at the end of the third inner-side face 8 is not limited to that of the present embodiment, but may be any number thereof may be provided depending on the number of the fragrance test strips 30 to be inserted. The size of the fragrance test strip guide port 20 may also be in any appropriate size depending on the size of the fragrance test strip 30 to be used. Moreover, it is possible to employ a configuration with a mixture of arbitrary shapes and sizes as a highly flexible configuration.

(4) Adhesive Application Step

Next, as shown in FIG. 6, an adhesive application step is performed to apply the releasable glues 13A, 13B for bonding the first inner-side face 2 and the second inner-side face 5 onto the surface of the first inner-side face 2 and to apply a strong adhesive 23 for bonding the third inner-side face 8 and the second inner-side face 5 onto the surface of the third inner-side face 8 (step S4 shown in FIG. 1).

First, a step of applying the releasable glue 13A onto the first inner-side face 2 will be described. The releasable glue 13A is applied to the edge of the four sides of the first inner-side face 2 in a width of about 3 mm to 8 mm from the edge. Note that the edge along the first folding line 11 continues to the second inner-side face 5, so that application of the releasable glue 13A may be omitted. The present embodiment illustrates an example where the application thereto is omitted while the releasable glue 13A is applied to the edge of the three sides.

Then, the releasable glue 13B is applied to substantially the center area of the first inner-side face 2 in a width of about 10 mm to 15 mm by connecting the upper end and the lower end. The releasable glue 13B is applied to the position to be overlapping with the fragrance test strip guide ports 20 when folding and bonding the first inner-side face 2 to the second inner-side face 5 and the third outer-side face 9 (see FIG. 13). The applied releasable glue 13B functions both for bonding the first inner-side face 2 to the second inner-side face 5 and the third outer-side face 9 and for closing the fragrance test strip guide ports 20 of the saclike sections 21.

Note that a separate sheet (not shown), a resin film (not shown), or the like may be placed temporarily over the entire first inner-side face 2 so as to prevent the first inner-side face 2 from bonding to the second inner-side face 5 inadvertently or to prevent foreign matters from attaching to the releasable glues 13A, 13B, after applying the releasable glues 13A, 13B.

Furthermore, the releasable glue 13B may be applied over the entire face of the first inner-side face 2 (not shown). In that case, the applied releasable glue 13B functions both for bonding the entire faces of the first inner-side face 2 and the second inner-side face 5 as well as the third outer-side face 9 and for closing the fragrance test strip guide ports 20 of the saclike sections 21.

Then, as shown in FIG. 6, the strong adhesive 23 for bonding the third inner-side face 8 and the second inner-side face 5 is applied onto the surface of the third inner-side face 8. As for the strong adhesive 23, it is desirable to use an adhesive, which has a strong adhesive power since there is no need to peel off again the area where the third inner-side face 8 and the second inner-side face 5 are bonded, and which includes a perfume impermeable material such that the perfumes in perfume impregnated sections 31 stored in the saclike sections 21 do not leak out.

As shown in FIG. 6, the strong adhesive 23 is applied from the second folding line 12 side of the third inner-side face 8 toward the fragrance test strip guide ports 20 in a U-like shape to surround the three directions of the saclike section 21. At this time, width BW of the saclike section 21 is provided to be larger than width TW of the fragrance test strip 30 (shown in FIG. 10). Furthermore, the strong adhesive 23 is applied by securing length BL of the saclike section 21 to be in a range such that the whole range of the perfume impregnated section 31 of the fragrance test strip 30 impregnated with the perfume can be housed in the saclike section 21. The range where the strong adhesive 23 is applied is formed to be in a comb-like shape with continuous U-like shapes.

(5) Saclike Section Forming Step

Next, as shown in FIG. 7, a saclike section forming step is performed to fold the third sheet section 7 (third inner-side face 8, third outer-side face 9) part of the sheet S at the second folding line 12, and to bond the second inner-side face 5 and the third inner-side fac 8 by the strong adhesive 23 to form the saclike sections 21 (step S5 shown in FIG. 1).

As shown in FIG. 8, when the second inner-side face 5 and the third inner-side face 8 are bonded, the saclike sections 21 each having the three directions thereof being closed with the fragrance test strip guide port 20 being opened are formed continuously in the lateral direction. Between the saclike sections 21 neighboring to each other, the strong adhesive 23 serves as a partition. Thereby, it is possible to prevent fragrances of the perfume impregnated sections 31 of the neighboring fragrance test strips 30 from becoming mixed.

The saclike section 21 is the place where the fragrance test strip 30 is inserted. On the opening side of the saclike section 21, the fragrance test strip guide port 20 is cut in a semicircular shape. The cut place is the place where the fragrance test strip 30 is inserted and, at the same time, serves as the guide port of the fragrance test strip 30.

As shown in FIG. 9, the tip of the third inner-side face 8 of the fragrance test strip guide port 20 is not bonded to the second inner-side face 5 by the strong adhesive 23. It is for making it easier to insert the fragrance test strip 30 by picking up the unbonded part when inserting the fragrance test strip 30 into the saclike section 21. This part may also be bonded by the strong adhesive 23 or may be fused.

As shown in FIG. 9, description wiring sections 15 are provided in a space that is to be paired with the respective fragrance test strip guide ports 20 on the second inner-side face 5. In the description wiring section 15, information and the like related to each of the fragrance test strips 30 are written. For example, it is preferable to write the name, efficiency, and the like of the perfume impregnated into the fragrance test strip 30.

Through the steps (1) to (5), the saclike sections 21 can be produced on the sheet S.

(6) Insertion Step

Then, as shown in FIG. 10 and FIG. 11, an insertion step is performed to insert the fragrance test strips 30 into the saclike sections 21 (step S6 shown in FIG. 1).

The fragrance test strip 30 is a thin and slim plate-like sample in a rectangular shape, a rod shape, or the like, and one end thereof is the perfume impregnated section 31 where a perfume is impregnated. The material of the fragrance test strips 30 is not specifically limited to paper pieces, fibers, or the like, as long as it is the material that goes through no chemical change even when a perfume is applied, has a good perfume impregnation property, and has a high perfume retention property. A known method will be used as a perfume impregnating method for the perfume impregnated sections 31 of the fragrance test strips 30. The fragrance test strip 30 is inserted into the saclike section 21 from the fragrance test strip guide port 20 such that the whole range of the perfume impregnated section 31 where the perfume is impregnated is housed in the saclike section 21.

(7) Folding/Bonding Step

Next, as shown in FIG. 12, a folding/bonding step is performed to fold the first sheet section 1 (first inner-side face 2, first outer-side face 3) part of the sheet S at the first folding line 11, and bond the first inner-side face 2 to the second inner-side face 5 as well as the third outer-side face 9 by the releasable glues 13A, 13B (step S7 shown in FIG. 1).

At this time, as shown in FIG. 13, it is configured such that the releasable glue 13B overlaps with the fragrance test strip guide ports 20. By closing the periphery of the fragrance test strip guide ports 20 with the releasable glue 13B after inserting the fragrance test strips 30, it is possible to prevent the perfumes impregnated into the fragrance test strips 30 (perfume impregnated sections 31) within the saclike sections 21 from leaking to the inner side of the folded sheet S from the gap of the fragrance test strip guide ports 20 and to prevent the different perfumes from being mixed on the inner side of the folded sheet S.

The state of the fragrance sample delivery paper completed through the steps as described above is shown in FIGS. 14A and 14B (step S8 shown in FIG. 1). The second outer-side face 6 of the sheet S shown in FIG. 14A is the front face of the postcard shape, in which the address of the destination, name, stamp, and the like are written and affixed. Furthermore, the first outer-side face 3 of the sheet S shown in FIG. 14B is the back face of the postcard shape, in which a description of the content, an advertisement, and the like are printed, written, and the like.

When a recipient receives the completed sheet S shown in FIGS. 14A and 14B, the sheet S is in a state where the first inner-side face 2 and the face where the second inner-side face 5 and the third outer-side face 9 are laminated are bonded by the releasable glues 13A, 13B (in a state of so-called secret postcard or crimped postcard). However, it is simply in a state of being bonded in a weak manner by the releasable glues 13A, 13B, so that the laminated part can be easily released and returned to the state of FIG. 11. Thus, it is possible to take out the fragrance test strip 30 from the saclike section 21 through the fragrance test strip guide port 20 and smell the scent of the perfume impregnated into the perfume impregnated section 31 of the fragrance test strip 30.

Note that the production method of the present invention can be roughly classified into the first half of the steps from (1) Sheet cutting step to (5) Saclike section forming step and the latter half of the steps that are (6) Insertion step and (7) Folding/bonding step, and the first half of the steps and the latter half of the steps may be performed by different entities (workers, factories, and the like) to complete the sheet S shown in FIGS. 14A and 14B.

While the best configuration, method, production steps, and the like for embodying the present invention are disclosed above, the present invention is not limited thereto.

That is, while the specific embodiment of the present invention is specifically illustrated and described, it is possible for those skilled in the art to apply various modifications to the embodiment described above without departing from the scope of the technical sprit and purposes of the present invention.

For example, while the present embodiment is described by referring to a case where the completed sheet S is in a postal card size, the shape and size are not limited thereto. The completed sheet S may be designed to be in a larger size or smaller size, such as a standard-size envelope or in various shapes (rectangular, polygonal, circular, and curved shapes) that can be mailed.

Furthermore, while the fragrance test strip guide ports 20 and the saclike sections 21 are all in the same sizes as shown in FIG. 6 and FIG. 8, the longitudinal and lateral sizes thereof may be changed, respectively, to be in various sizes in a mixed manner.

Moreover, while the fragrance test strip guide ports 20 and the saclike sections 21 are configured in parallel to the sides L1 and L2, those may also be configured in a perpendicular direction with respect to the sides L1 and L2 as shown in FIGS. 15A and 15B as long as the perfumes impregnated into the fragrance test strips (perfume impregnated sections 31) are not mixed. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 16, those configurations may be mixed or all of those configurations may be implemented at once. In such cases, the kinds of the perfumes that can be provided or mailed at once using the fragrance sample paper can be increased, which is very convenient. Moreover, the fragrance test strip guide ports 20 and the saclike sections 21 may be disposed in a curved or circular form.

Furthermore, instead of the step of applying the strong adhesive 23, it is also possible to employ other welding/bonding methods such as thermal welding or ultrasonic welding. It simply needs to be in a structure where the perfumes impregnated into the perfume impregnated sections 31 do not leak from the saclike sections 21.

In addition, instead of applying the releasable glue 13B, a tape exhibiting a gas barrier property such as an aluminum foil tape or an aluminum metallized tape to which releasable glue in a width of about 10 mm to 15 mm is applied may be pasted after inserting the fragrance test strips 30 into the saclike sections 21. Furthermore, instead of the releasable glue 13A, regular glue may be applied in a form of a dotted line. In short, it simply needs to be able to maintain the releasable state, so any such bonding methods may be used.
