Claims
- 1. The method for the production of a film comprising an inner phase of liposuluble liquid droplets of flavors and fragrances within an outer, solid, water-soluble phase, said method comprises:
a) dissolving a water-soluble polymer in water to obtain a solution, and b) adding at least one member of the group consisting of flavors and fragrances to said solution, and adding a solubilizing additive in a quantity sufficient to prevent the dissolution or the evaporation of said member from the solution, said solution becoming a liquid mass, c) coating of said liquid mass, and d) drying of said liquid mass.
- 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the water-soluble polymer is polyvinyl alcohol.
- 3. The method according to claim 2, wherein said polyvinyl alcohol is in a partially hydrolized form having between 1 and 20% of the hydroxyl groups replaced by acetyl groups.
- 4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the solubilizing additive is a surfactant.
- 5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the solubilizing additive is added in a quantity between 0 to 30 wt.-% relative to the water-free portion of the outer phase.
- 6. The method according to claim 1, wherein the amount of said at least one member of the group consisting of flavors and fragrances is between 0.1 and 30 wt-% relative to the water-free portion of the outer phase.
- 7. The method according to claim 1, wherein the amount of said at least one member of the group consisting of flavors and fragrances is between 1 and 5 wt.-% relative to the water-free portion of the outer phase.
- 8. The method according to claim 1, wherein the group consisting of flavors and fragrances comprises volatile odoriferous or flavoring substances having a limited miscibility with water.
- 9. The method according to claim 1, wherein step b occurs at a temperature below 40° C.
- 10. The method according to claim 1, wherein the liquid mass is coated in a layer thickness of between 200 and 300 μm.
- 11. The method according to claim 1, wherein the drying of said liquid mass is performed below 80° C.
- 12. The method according to claim 1, wherein said liquid droplets have a size of between 1 and 100 μm. 13. The method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of adding at least one substance selected from the group of fillers, aroma-enhancing substances, sweeteners, salt, sugar derivatives, low-molecular organic acids, plasticizing additives, pigments, and light-scattering additives to the liquid mass.
