Claims
- 1. An optically active N-(2-hydroxymethyl-1-oxo-3-phenylpropyl)-amino acid ester represented by formula (II): whereinR1 represents hydrogen, an amino acid side chain or a protected amino acid side chain, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, alanine, glutamine, asparagine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine; R2 represents a linear or branched C1-C8 alkyl group, or a benzyl group which may or may not have a substituent; and * represents an optically active carbon atom.
- 2. An optically active N-(2-hydroxymethyl-1-oxo-3-phenylpropyl)-amino acid ester represented by formula (II): whereinR1 represents hydrogen, an amino acid side chain or a substituted amino acid side chain, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, alanine, glutamine, asparagine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine, and the substituent is selected from the group consisting of a C1-C6 alkoxy group, a halogen atom, and a nitro group; R2 represents a linear or branched C1-C8 alkyl group, or a benzyl group which may or may not have a substituent; and * represents an optically active carbon atom.
- 3. An optically active N-(2-hydroxymethyl-1-oxo-3-phenylpropyl)-amino acid ester represented by formula (II): whereinR1 represents hydrogen, an amino acid side chain or a substituted amino acid side chain, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine, and the substituent is selected from the group consisting of a C1-C6 alkyl group, C1-C6 alkoxy group, a halogen atom, and a nitro group; R2 represents a linear or branched C1-C8 alkyl group, or a benzyl group which may or may not have a substituent; and * represents an optically active carbon atom.
- 4. The ester according to claim 1, wherein R1 represents hydrogen, and R2 represents a benzyl group.
- 5. The ester according to claim 2, wherein R1 represents hydrogen, and R2 represents a benzyl group.
- 6. The ester according to claim 3, wherein R1 represents hydrogen, and R2 represents a benzyl group.
- 7. The ester according to claim 1, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration S.
- 8. The ester according to claim 2, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration S.
- 9. The ester according to claim 3, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration S.
- 10. The ester according to claim 1, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration R.
- 11. The ester according to claim 2, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration R.
- 12. The ester according to claim 3, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration R.
- 13. The ester according to claim 1, wherein R1 represents hydrogen.
- 14. The ester according to claim 2, wherein R1 represents hydrogen.
- 15. The ester according to claim 3, wherein R1 represents hydrogen.
- 16. The ester according to claim 1, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.
- 17. The ester according to claim 2, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.
- 18. The ester according to claim 3, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.
- 19. The ester according to claim 1, wherein R1 represents said protected amino acid side chain.
- 20. The ester according to claim 2, wherein R1 represents said substituted amino acid side chain.
- 21. The ester according to claim 3, wherein R1 represents said substituted amino acid side chain.
- 22. The ester according to claim 19, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.
- 23. The ester according to claim 20, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.
- 24. The ester according to claim 21, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.
- 25. An optically active N-acylamino acid ester represented by formula (III): whereinR1 represents hydrogen, an amino acid side chain or a protected amino acid side chain, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, alanine, glutamine, asparagine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine; R2 represents a linear or branched C1-C18 alkyl group, or a benzyl group which may or may not have a substituent; X represents chlorine, bromine, iodine, a linear, branched or cyclic C1-C6 alkylsulfonyloxy group which may or may not have a substituent, or a C6-C18 arylsulfonyloxy group; and * represents an optically active carbon atom.
- 26. An optically active N-acylamino acid ester represented by formula (III): whereinR1 represents hydrogen, an amino acid side chain or a substituted amino acid side chain, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, alanine, glutamine, asparagine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine, and the substituent is selected from the group consisting of a C1-C6 alkoxy group, a halogen atom, and a nitro group; R2 represents a linear or branched C1-C18 alkyl group, or a benzyl group which may or may not have a substituent; X represents chlorine, bromine, iodine, a linear, branched or cyclic C1-C6 alkylsulfonyloxy group which may or may not have a substituent, or a C6-C18 arylsulfonyloxy group; and * represents an optically active carbon atom.
- 27. An optically active N-acylamino acid ester represented by formula (III): whereinR1 represents hydrogen, an amino acid side chain or a protected amino acid side chain, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine, and the substituent is selected from the group consisting of a C1-C6 alkyl group, C1-C6 alkoxy group, a halogen atom, and a nitro group; R2 represents a linear or branched C1-C18 alkyl group, or a benzyl group which may or may not have a substituent; X represents chlorine, bromine, iodine, a linear, branched or cyclic C1-C6 alkylsulfonyloxy group which may or may not have a substituent, or a C6-C18 arylsulfonyloxy group; and * represents an optically active carbon atom.
- 28. The ester according to claim 25, wherein R1 represents hydrogen, and R2 represents a benzyl group.
- 29. The ester according to claim 26, wherein R1 represents hydrogen, and R2 represents a benzyl group.
- 30. The ester according to claim 27, wherein R1 represents hydrogen, and R2 represents a benzyl group.
- 31. The ester according to claim 25, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration S.
- 32. The ester according to claim 26, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration S.
- 33. The ester according to claim 27, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration S.
- 34. The ester according to claim 25, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration R.
- 35. The ester according to claim 26, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration R.
- 36. The ester according to claim 27, wherein the optically active carbon atom is in the configuration R.
- 37. The ester according to claim 25, wherein R1 represents hydrogen.
- 38. The ester according to claim 26, wherein R1 represents hydrogen.
- 39. The ester according to claim 27, wherein R1 represents hydrogen.
- 40. The ester according to claim 25, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.

The ester according to claim 26, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.
- 42. The ester according to claim 27, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.
- 43. The ester according to claim 25, wherein R1 represents said protected amino acid side chain.
- 44. The ester according to claim 26, wherein R1 represents said substituted amino acid side chain.
- 45. The ester according to claim 27, wherein R1 represents said substituted amino acid side chain.
- 46. The ester according to claim 43, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.

The ester according to claim 44, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.

The ester according to claim 45, wherein the amino acid is selected from the group consisting of phenylglycine, glutamine, asparagine, proline, methionine, serine, threonine, phenylalanine, naphthylalanine, tyrosine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, tryptophan, histidine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, and arginine.
- 49. The ester of claim 25, wherein X represents chlorine, bromine, or iodine, a linear, branched or cyclic C1-C6 alkylsulfonyloxy group which may or may not have a substituent.
- 50. The ester of claim 26, wherein X represents chlorine, bromine, or iodine, a linear, branched or cyclic C1-C6 alkylsulfonyloxy group which may or may not have a substituent.
- 51. The ester of claim 27, wherein X represents chlorine, bromine, or iodine, a linear, branched or cyclic C1-C6 alkylsulfonyloxy group which may or may not have a substituent.
- 52. The ester of claim 25, wherein X represents chlorine, bromine, or iodine.
- 53. The ester of claim 26, wherein X represents chlorine, bromine, or iodine.
- 54. The ester of claim 27, wherein X represents chlorine, bromine, or iodine.
