Claims
- 1. A method for producing a mono-substituted dichlorosilane which comprises reacting dichlorosilane H.sub.2 SiCl.sub.2 with a vinylidene compound represented by the general formula R.sup.1 R.sup.2 C.dbd.CH.sub.2 (wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each hydrogen, an alkyl group of 1-18 carbon atoms or a phenyl group and are the same or different) in the presence of a catalyst which is a homogeneous complex represented by the general formula MX.sub.n (PR.degree..sub.3).sub.m wherein R.degree. is aryl, alkyl or aralkyl; M is ruthenium; X is a covalently bound halogen or hydrogen atom, a covalently bound substituted silyl group, or a non-covalently bound carbon monoxide molecule or aromatic hydrocarbon compound; and n is an integer of 0 to 4 and m is an integer of 2 to 4 provided that 3.ltoreq.(n+m).ltoreq.7 to give a compound of the general formula R.sup.1 R.sup.2 CHCH.sub.2 SiHCl.sub.2.
- 2. A method according to claim 1 wherein the complex is RuCl.sub.2 (PPh.sub.3).sub.3, RuHCl(PPh.sub.3).sub.3 [C.sub.6 H.sub.6 ], RuHCl(PPh.sub.3).sub.3 [C.sub.6 H.sub.5 CH.sub.3 ], RuH.sub.3 (PPh.sub.3).sub.3 [Si(OCH.sub.3).sub.3 ], RuH.sub.3 (PPh.sub.3).sub.3 [Si)OCH.sub.3).sub.2 Ph], RuH(PPh.sub.3).sub.3 [Si(C.sub.2 H.sub.5).sub.2 Cl], or RuH.sub.2 (PPh.sub.3).sub.4.
- 3. A method for producing a monosubstituted dichlorosilane which comprises reacting dichlorosilane H.sub.2 SiCl.sub.2 with a vinylidene compound represented by the general formula R.sup.1 R.sup.2 C.dbd.CH.sub.2 (wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each hydrogen, an alkyl group of 1-18 carbon atoms or a phenyl group and are the same or different) in the presence of a catalyst which is a homogeneous complex represented by the general formula MX.sub.n (PR.degree..sub.3).sub.m wherein R.degree. is aryl, alkyl or aralkyl; M is platinum X is a covalently bound halogen or hydrogen atom, a covalently bound substituted silyl group, or a non-covalently bound carbon monoxide molecule or aromatic hydrocarbon compound; and n is an integer of 0 to 4 and m is an integer of 2 to 4 provided that 3.ltoreq.(n+m).ltoreq.7 to give a compound of the general formula R.sup.1 R.sup.2 CHCH.sub.2 SiHCl.sub.2.
- 4. A method according to claim 3 wherein the complex is Pt(PPh.sub.3).sub.4.
- 5. A method for producing a mono-substituted dichlorosilane which comprises reacting dichlorosilane H.sub.2 SiCl.sub.2 with a vinylidene compound represented by the general formula R.sup.1 R.sup.2 C.dbd.CH.sub.2 (wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each hydrogen, an alkyl group of 1-18 carbon atoms or a phenyl group and are the same or different in the presence of a catalyst which is RuCl.sub.3.3H.sub.2 O to give a compound of the general formula R.sup.1 R.sup.2 CHCH.sub.2 SiHCl.sub.2.
- 6. A method of producing 2-phenylethylhydrodichlorosilane which comprises reacting dichlorosilane with styrene in the presence of a catalyst which is a homogeneous complex represented by the general formula MX.sub.n (PR.degree..sub.3).sub.m wherein R.degree. is aryl, alkyl or aralkyl; M is rhodium, X is a covalently bound halogen or hydrogen atom, a covalently bound substituted silyl group, or a non-covalently bound carbon monoxide molecule or aromatic hydrocarbon compound; and n is an integer of 0 to 4 and m is an integer of 2 to 4 provided that 3.ltoreq.(n+m).ltoreq.7.
- 7. A method for producing 2-phenylpropylhydrodichlorosilane which comprises reacting dichlorosilane with .alpha.-methyl styrene in the presence of a catalyst which is a homogeneous complex represented by the general formula MX.sub.n (PR.degree..sub.3).sub.m wherein R.degree. is aryl, alkyl or aralkyl; M is rhodium, X is a covalently bound halogen or hydrogen atom, a covalently bound substituted silyl group, or a non-covalently bound carbon monoxide molecule or aromatic hydrocarbon compound; and n is an integer of 0 to 4 and m is an integer of 2 to 4 provided that 3.ltoreq.(n+m).ltoreq.7.
