Claims
- 1. A method for making a tissue produce base sheet comprising:
- (a) blending a water-soluble humectant with a carboxylic acid-containing virucidal composition at a temperature of from about 100.degree. C. to about 150.degree. C. to solubilize the blend without degrading the carboxylic acid;
- (b) applying the solubilized blend to the surface of a cellulosic web; and
- (c) cooling the web to reduce the tackiness of the solubilized blend.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein the web is cooled to a temperature of about 40.degree. C. or less.
- 3. A method for making a tissue product base sheet comprising:
- (a) blending polyethylene glycol with a malic acid-containing virucidal composition at a temperature from about 100.degree. C. to about 125.degree. C. to form a solution;
- (b) spraying or printing the solution onto the surface of a cellulosic web;
- (c) cooling the cellulosic web to a temperature below about 40.degree. C. to reduce the tackiness of the solution; and
- (d) combining the cooled web with one or more cellulosic webs.
