Claims
- 1. In combination, hydraulic lifting means for raising a sucker rod in a casing, a frame supporting said lifting means, means for leveling at least part of said frame whereby said sucker rod reciprocates coaxially with said casing, and means for directly connecting the frame to the casing,
- said casing being cylindrical and extending into a well in the ground and the top of said casing extending above ground level,
- said frame at least partially extending above and partially below the upper level of the casing,
- the means for connecting the frame to the casing comprising a pair of generally C-shaped brackets which generally conform to the shape of the cylindrical exterior of the casing, said brackets being connected to said frame and including means to grip the cylindrical exterior of the casing at a point below said top,
- said leveling means including a plurality of telescopic non-rotating members connecting the frame and the casing for relative adjustment.
- 2. A combination according to claim 1 wherein said frame comprises a subframe and a main frame disposed above said subframe, and wherein said telescopic members support said main frame on said subframe, said members being variable in length so that said main frame may be leveled so that said sucker rod reciprocates with said casing, said brackets being connected to said subframe.
- 3. A combination according to claim 2 wherein said leveling means includes supporting members having the form of threaded bolts engaged in threaded apertures in one of said subframe and said main frame and engaging the other of said subframe and said main frame.
- 4. A combination according to claim 3 wherein said threaded belts are provided with lock nuts whereby said bolts may be releasably locked into position relative to said one of said subframe and said main frame.
- 5. A combination according to claim 2 wherein said C-shaped brackets are mounted on said subframe.
- 6. A combination according to claim 1 wherein said frame is provided with a first carriage slideably mounted to reciprocate in a vertical plane on the front of said frame, a second carriage slideably mounted on the back of said frame to reciprocate in cooperation with said first carriage, rotatable means attached to said frame, flexible means strung over said rotatable means and connecting said first and second carriages and a counter weight mounted on the second carriage, said first carriage being provided with means for engaging said sucker rod.
- 7. Apparatus according to claim 6 wherein said flexible means comprises at least one chain and said rotatable means comprises at least one sprocket.
