Claims
- 1. A method of treating an animal having an infection caused by Babesia spp which comprises administering to said infected animal an effective Babesia spp treatment amount of 2-[4-(4-chlorophenyl) cyclohexyl]-3-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof.
- 2. A method according to claim 1 where the compound 2-[trans-4-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclohexyl]-3-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone is administered.
- 3. A method according to claim 2 wherein the compound or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof is administered in an amount of from 25 to 100 mg per kilogram of animal bodyweight per day.
- 4. A method according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the animal is a human.
