Claims
- 1. A method for winding an armature coil, comprising:winding a first coil between any two slots in an armature core by an armature coil winder while restricting, by a movable former, a position of a coil end between said two slots for coil winding; shaping the first coil in each of the slots; subsequently winding and shaping another coil between any two other slots other than said two slots for the first coil, in the same armature core, by an armature coil winder while restricting, by a movable former, a position of a coil end between said two other slots in the armature core; repeating said winding and shaping another coil a plurality of times; and alternating said coil shaping with said coil winding by using an armature coil winder comprising: a winding former for cooperating with an armature core assembly having a plurality of slots formed in an outer circumference thereof and a series of continuous coils, said winding former comprising: a fixed former for guiding one of said continuous coils into two of said slots, and a movable former for restricting a position of a coil end of said continuous coils between said two slots by said movable former moving in the fixed former along both end surfaces of said armature core assembly toward a center of the core assembly; a former slider including a flyer for winding one of said continuous coils around said fixed former; and a coil shaping mechanism including coil shaping blades for shaping of said continuous coils in the slots relative to the armature core assembly.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein shaping of a coil having been previously wound in interiors of slots in an armature core by the coil winding is performed immediately after winding said coil.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein shaping of a coil having been previously wound in interiors of slots in an armature core by the coil winding is performed immediately before winding, in same interiors of such slots, another coil other than said previously wound coil.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein shaping of a coil having been previously wound in interiors of slots in an armature core by the coil winding is performed immediately after winding said coil and immediately before winding, in same interiors of such slots, another coil than said previously wound coil.
- 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the winding of one coil and the shaping of another coil are performed simultaneously.
