Claims
- 1. A method implemented in a computer for user analysis of a set of data having at least one event of interest, the method comprising:storing the data set in the computer; displaying the full data set; displaying a pair of cursors, one cursor being at a start of the displayed set, the other cursor being at an end of the displayed set, each cursor independently positionable on the displayed set; positioning the cursors by the user at a first point and a second point along the displayed set, respectively, to select the event of interest; displaying only a portion of the set between the first and second points as the displayed set when selected; displaying and positioning the cursors by the user to further refine the event of interest; providing reference parameters of the event of interest; and comparing the displayed portion with reference parameters of the event of interest so as to select between certification and rejection of a system for which the data set was obtained.
- 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising entering a user choice to display a previously displayed set after displaying the portion of the displayed set.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein storing the data set further comprises capturing the data set from a real time test.
- 4. The method of claim 1, further comprising attaching data set identifiers to the stored data set.
- 5. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying the portion further comprises:determining a time duration for the portion; analyzing the portion to determine a signal frequency within the portion; and displaying the time duration and the frequency with the displayed portion.
- 6. The method of claim 1, further comprising:user activation of a control function to initiate storing the data set; and user activation of the control function to stop storing the data set.
- 7. The method of claim 5, wherein comparing the displayed portion with reference parameters further comprises comparing the duration and frequency of the displayed parameters with reference parameters of the event of interest so as to select between certification and rejection of a system for which the data set was obtained.
- 8. The method of claim 3, further comprising:user activation of a control function to initiate capturing the data set; and user activation of the control function to stop storing the data set.
- 9. The method of claim 8, wherein the activation is accomplished by the user selecting a graphical user interface button displayed by the computer.
- 10. A computer implemented method of certifying command signals transmitted to and from a launched weapon comprising:displaying the transmitted command signals in real time; initiating capture of the command signal transmissions; storing the captured signals in the computer; displaying a full record of the captured signals when a stop capture control is selected; displaying a pair of cursors, one cursor being at a start of the displayed record, the other cursor being at an end of the displayed record, each cursor independently positionable on the displayed record; positioning the cursors by a user at a first point and a second point along the displayed record, respectively, to identify transmission of the command signal; displaying only a portion of the record between the first and second points as the displayed record when selected; iteratively displaying and positioning the cursors by the user to further refine the identification of the transmission; providing reference parameters of the command signal; and comparing the displayed record with reference parameters of the command signal so as to select between certification and rejection of the command signal.
- 11. The method of claim 10, wherein displaying the portion of the record further comprises:determining a time duration for the displayed record; analyzing the displayed record to determine a command signal frequency within the displayed record; and displaying the time duration and the frequency with the displayed record.
- 12. The method of claim 11, wherein the analyzing comprises a Fast Fourier Transform of the displayed record.
