Claims
- 1. A method of cultivating a cell or tissue comprising the steps of:providing a sealed space into which a gas is supplied, wherein the space is maintained at a temperature and environment necessary for sustaining life; installing a culture medium bath and a culture chamber inside the sealed space, and forming a culture circuit by connecting the culture medium bath and the culture chamber by a tube, wherein the culture medium is circulated from the culture medium bath to the culture chamber through the culture circuit; circulating the culture medium in the culture circuit by providing a continuous supply, intermittent supply, periodic supply, or a combination thereof of the culture medium to the culture circuit; providing means for holding the cell or tissue in a suspending or non-suspending state in the culture medium within the culture chamber; allowing the gas in the sealed space to permeate through a gas absorption portion separately provided at a part of the culture circuit at a front stage of the culture chamber, wherein the gas is absorbed in the culture medium in front of the culture chamber; and applying a pressure to the cell or tissue held in the culture medium within the culture chamber to cultivate the cell or tissue, wherein the pressure applied to the cell or tissue is fixed continuous pressure, continually varying pressure, periodic changes in pressure, or a combination thereof.
- 2. A method of cultivating a cell or tissue according to claim 1, wherein the pressure applied to the cell or tissue to be cultivated is set in according to pressures found in a living body corresponding to the cell or tissue to be cultivated.
- 3. A method of cultivating a cell or tissue according to claim 1, wherein the sealed space is maintained at humidity conditions necessary for sustaining life.
