- 5. The method as set forth in claim 4 comprising the preliminary step of biasing a resilient means between said one opposite end wall and the first named contact plate for urging it toward the electrical contacting engagement with the PTCR and the PTCR toward the electrical contacting engagement with the another contact plate.
- 6. A method of assembling an electrical device having a casing with a sidewall integrally formed between a pair of generally opposite end walls, recess means in the casing for receiving a PTCR and having a generally open end portion intersecting with an exterior free end surface on one of the opposite end walls, the method comprising the steps of:
- (a) overlaying the exterior free end surface of the one opposite end wall with a means for electrically contacting and supporting the PTCR so as to at least in part close the open end portion of the recess means and arranging a plurality of extensions on the electrical contacting and supporting means to extend generally beyond the sidewall of the casing; and
- (b) deforming the extensions on the electrically contacting and supporting means generally over the sidewall exteriorly of the casing and engaging a plurality of free ends on the deformed extensions with the other of the opposite end walls exteriorly of the casing so as to releasably secure the electrically contacting and supporting means to the casing.
