Claims
- 1. A method of bonding an amorphous carbon material to at least one member selected from the group consisting of metal materials and ceramic materials, said method comprising the steps of:
- (a) roughening a surface of an amorphous carbon material and thereby forming a roughened surface of the amorphous carbon material having irregularities;
- (b) inserting a brazing material between the roughened surface of the amorphous carbon material and at least one member selected from the group consisting of at least one metal material and at least one ceramic material to thereby obtain a resultant structure; and
- (c) heating the resultant structure to perform brazing and thereby bond the amorphous carbon material to the at least one member.
- 2. A method according to claim 1, wherein said step of roughening is performed by spraying an abrasive against the surface of the amorphous carbon material.
- 3. A method according to claim 1, wherein said step of roughening is performed by mechanical abrasion using an abrasive.
- 4. A method according to claim 1, wherein the brazing material is a silver solder selected from the group consisting of Ag--Cu--Ti, Ag--Sn--Ti, and Ag--Cu--In--Ti.
- 5. A method according to claim 1, wherein the brazing material is a titanium solder selected from the group consisting of Ti--Zr--Cu--Ni and Ti--Zr--Cu.
