Claims
- 1. A method for applying a fluid to a surface with a tool, the tool comprising a handle portion, a head portion, and a fluid reservoir attached thereto, the method comprising the following steps:
obtaining the handle portion; mechanically coupling the head portion to the handle portion; mechanically coupling the fluid reservoir to the handle portion and fluidically coupling the fluid reservoir to the head portion; controllably dispensing the fluid onto the surface; and distributing the fluid dispensed onto the surface with the head portion.
- 2. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of attaching a removable cleaning pad to the cleaning head prior to distributing the fluid.
- 3. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of removing a removable cleaning pad from the cleaning head subsequent to distributing the fluid.
- 4. A method for use of a gravity-fed cleaning system with replaceable cleaning fluid reservoir, the cleaning system comprising:
obtaining a handle portion having:
a proximal end; a distal end; and a housing, the housing adapted to receive a replaceable cleaning fluid reservoir; obtaining a cleaning head portion with:
a mechanical apparatus for retaining a removable cleaning pad to the handle portion; and a nozzle with a plurality of orifices, the nozzle removably mounted to the head portion; coupling the cleaning head portion to the handle portion with a yoke section; inserting a replaceable cleaning fluid reservoir into the housing; and fluidically coupling the cleaning fluid reservoir to the nozzle such that cleaning fluid is allowed to flow via gravity through the removable nozzle in a plurality of individual streams onto the surface to be cleaned in front of the cleaning head portion.
- 5. A method for assembly of a gravity-fed cleaning system with replaceable cleaning fluid reservoir, the method comprising:
coupling a housing adapted to receive a replaceable cleaning fluid reservoir onto a cleaning head; coupling a plurality of elongated handle sections to the housing and cleaning head assembly; inserting a replaceable cleaning fluid reservoir into the housing; and fluidically coupling the cleaning fluid reservoir to the cleaning head.
- 6. A method for using a tool with both a cleaning head and a fluid reservoir housing coupled to an elongated handle to distribute fluid over a surface, the method comprising the following steps:
attaching a cleaning pad to the cleaning head; inserting a replaceable fluid reservoir into the housing; fluidically coupling the fluid reservoir to the cleaning head; dispensing controlled amounts of fluid from the reservoir onto a surface; and distributing the fluid evenly over the surface with the cleaning pad.
- 7. The method of claim 6 further comprising:
replacing the used cleaning pad with a new cleaning pad.
- 8. The method of claim 6 further comprising:
replacing the fluid reservoir, when empty, with a full fluid reservoir.
- 9. A method for cleaning a surface using a tool with both a cleaning head and a cleaning fluid reservoir housing coupled to an elongated handle, the method comprising the following steps:
attaching a cleaning pad to the cleaning head; inserting a replaceable cleaning fluid reservoir into the housing; fluidically coupling the cleaning fluid reservoir to the cleaning head; dispensing controlled amounts of cleaning fluid from the reservoir onto a surface; and distributing the cleaning fluid evenly over the surface with the cleaning pad.
- 10. The method of claim 9 further comprising the following step:
removing excess cleaning fluid from the surface with the cleaning pad.
- 11. The method of claim 9 further comprising the following step:
removing soil and debris from the surface with the cleaning pad.
- 12. The method of claim 11 further comprising the following step:
replacing the used cleaning pad with a new cleaning pad.
- 13. The method of claim 9 further comprising the following step:
replacing the cleaning fluid reservoir, when empty, with a full cleaning fluid reservoir.
- 14. A method of cleaning a surface, the method including the step of using an elongated handle to move a rectangular cleaning head portion having an essentially convex lower surface in a rocking motion on a surface being treated.
- 15. The method of claim 14 further comprising the step of moving the rectangular cleaning head portion in a direction primarily perpendicular to the length of the cleaning head portion.
- 16. A method of cleaning a surface, the method including the following steps:
A. Attaching a removable cleaning pad to a rectangular cleaning head portion having an essentially convex lower surface; and B. Using an elongated handle to move the cleaning head portion in a rocking motion on a surface being treated.
- 17. The method of claim 16 further comprising the following step:
C. Using an elongated handle to move the cleaning head portion in a direction primarily perpendicular to the length of the cleaning head portion.
- 18. The method of claim 16 further comprising the following step:
D. Replacing the cleaning pad when soiled.
