Claims
- 1. A method of cleaning a contact lens which comprises applying to the contact lens an aqueous contact lens cleaning composition which comprises an effective amount of an anionic surfactant of formula:
- R--O--(CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --O).sub.z --CH.sub.2 --COOH
- in which R is a C.sub.8 to C.sub.18 hydrocarbon chain and z is a whole number from 1 to 25.
- 2. A method according to claim 1, wherein R is a C.sub.12 hydrocarbon chain and z is 10.
