Claims
- 1. A method of containing a vanity sink having a bowl extending from an upper rim, comprising:
- folding a corrugated paperboard blank on scores to provide a back that defines an opening, two opposing side walls, and two opposing end walls, to define a container;
- positioning support means within the container;
- inserting a vanity sink into the container with a bowl of the vanity sink extending partially through the opening and a rim surface resting on support means to dispose the vanity sink such that a plane defined by the rim surface is at an acute angle with respect to the back of the container.
- 2. The method of containing a vanity sink as recited in claim 1, wherein positioning comprises folding a pair of tubular supports attached along first scores to respective end walls on second scores defining panels of the tubular supports.
- 3. A method of grouping a plurality of vanity sinks each having a bowl extending from an upper rim, comprising:
- placing one of the sinks in a container having a back, two opposing side walls, and two opposing end walls formed by folding a blank of corrugated paperboard on scores, the bowl partially extending through an opening in the back, an under surface of the sink sits on a pair of supports, each foldably attached to a respective end wall at an angle with the back; and
- placing the first container on a second of said container,
- whereby the bowl, being partially extended through the opening in the first container, is nestably received in the cavity of the bowl of the sink in the second container.
- 4. The method as recited in claim 3, further comprising an intermediate step of folding a front plate attached to the side panel perpendicular thereto to cover the rim,
- whereby a pair of tabs, being attached to the side panel and separable from the front plate, extend upwardly for aligning a third container on the first container.
- 5. The method as recited in claim 3, further comprising an intermediate step of folding the supports on a plurality of second scores to form a tube that bears against the back and the end wall for supporting the sink thereon.
- 6. The method as recited in claim 3, further comprising locking the support to the end wall by inserting a tab on the end wall through an opening in the support.
- 7. A method of grouping a plurality of vanity sinks each holding a sink having a bowl extending outwardly from a rim, comprising:
- inserting one of the vanity sinks into a first corrugated paperboard container folded from a blank scored for folding to define a back, two opposing side walls, and two opposing end walls, with the back defining an opening that receives therethrough a portion of a bowl extending outwardly from a rim of the vanity sink;
- supporting the sink within the container with support means for disposing the sink such that a plane defined by an upper surface of the sink is at an acute angel with respect to the back of the container; and
- placing the first container on a second of the containers holding another of the vanity sinks,
- whereby the bowl of the one vanity sink, being partially extended through the opening in the first container, is nestably received in a cavity of the bowl of the other of the vanity sinks in the second container.
- 8. The method as recited in claim 7, wherein the containers are disposed side-by-side on respective side walls for nesting the lower portion of the bowl of the one sink in the first container within the cavity of the bowl of the other vanity sink held in the second container.
