Claims
- 1. A method of covering a pot or floral grouping, comprising:
providing a sleeve initially constructed in a flattened condition, the sleeve comprising:
a body having an upper end, a triangular lower end, a first sidewall edge, a second sidewall edge, and an inner space and further comprising a lower portion and an upper portion extending from the lower portion, the upper portion detachable from the lower portion via a detaching element, the sleeve in the flattened condition having a terminal vertex in the triangular lower end at a junction of the first sidewall edge and the second sidewall edge, and the terminal vertex having a terminal vertex angle which faces inwardly and has an angular dimension greater than about 30° and less than about 160°, and a portion of the first sidewall edge having a first vertex, the first vertex having a first vertex angle which faces inwardly and has an angular dimension greater than about 100° and less than about 165°, and a portion of the second sidewall edge having a second vertex, the second vertex having a second vertex angle which faces the first vertex angle and has an angular dimension greater than about 100° and less than about 165°, and wherein a lower segment of the first sidewall edge, a lower segment of the second sidewall edge, the first vertex, the second vertex, and the terminal vertex cooperate to define the triangular lower end, and the body of the sleeve having a generally tapered shape when in an opened condition; opening the sleeve to expose the inner space of the body; and disposing a pot or floral grouping into the inner space.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the first vertex angle and the second vertex angle are between about 105° and about 160°.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the first vertex angle and the second vertex angle are between about 110° and about 155°.
- 4. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the first vertex angle and the second vertex angle are between about 115° and about 150°.
- 5. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the first vertex angle and the second vertex angle are between about 120° and about 145°.
- 6. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the first vertex angle and the second vertex angle are between about 125° and about 140°.
- 7. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the first vertex angle and the second vertex angle are between about 130° and about 135°.
- 8. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the terminal vertex angle is between about 35° and about 155°.
- 9. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the terminal vertex angle is between about 40° and about 150°.
- 10. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the terminal vertex angle is between about 45° and about 145°.
- 11. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the terminal vertex angle is between about 55° and about 130°.
- 12. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the terminal vertex angle is between about 60° and about 120°.
- 13. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the terminal vertex angle is between about 70° and about 110°.
- 14. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the terminal vertex angle is between about 80° and about 105°.
- 15. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the terminal vertex angle is between about 85° and about 100°.
- 16. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a sleeve, the terminal vertex angle is between about 90° and about 95°.
- 17. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sleeve, the detaching element comprises perforations.
- 18. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sleeve, the upper portion is sized to substantially surround an enclose the floral grouping.
- 19. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sleeve, the upper portion is adapted to support the sleeve from a support assembly.
- 20. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sleeve, the detaching element leaves a non-linear upper edge in the lower portion of the body when the upper portion is detached from the lower portion.
- 21. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sleeve, the detaching element leaves a linear upper edge in the lower portion when the upper portion is detached from the lower portion.
