Claims
- 1. A method of covering a pot having upper rim, and containing a floral grouping, comprising:
providing a tubular sleeve having an upper end, a closed lower end, a skirt portion, and a base portion with a decorative pattern and/or color, the tubular sleeve having a first side, a second side, an inner peripheral surface, an outer peripheral surface, an inner retaining space surrounded and defined by the inner peripheral surface, the upper end having an edge, the tubular sleeve initially constructed to have a flattened condition and the tubular sleeve free of an upper portion sized to surround and encompass the floral grouping disposed within the pot; and opening the tubular sleeve to expose the inner retaining space and disposing the pot and floral grouping contained therein into the inner retaining space.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a drainage hole therein.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a ventilation hole therein.
- 4. The method of claim 1 wherein, in the step of opening the tubular sleeve, at least a portion of the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve is positioned near the upper rim of the pot.
- 5. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve has a non-linear shape.
- 6. A method of covering a pot having an upper rim, and containing a floral grouping, comprising:
providing a tubular sleeve having an upper end, a closed lower end, a skirt portion, and a base portion with a decorative pattern and/or color, the tubular sleeve having a first side, a second side, an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface, and an inner retaining space surrounded and defined by the inner peripheral surface, the upper end having an edge, the tubular sleeve initially constructed to have a flattened condition and the closed lower end having a gusset therein and the tubular sleeve free of an upper portion sized to surround and encompass the floral grouping disposed within the pot; and opening the tubular sleeve to expose the inner retaining space and disposing the pot and floral grouping contained therein into the inner retaining space.
- 7. The method of claim 6 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a drainage hole therein.
- 8. The method of claim 6 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a ventilation hole therein.
- 9. The method of claim 6 wherein, in the step of opening the tubular sleeve, at least a portion of the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve is positioned near the upper rim of the pot.
- 10. The method of claim 6 wherein in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve has a non-linear shape.
- 11. A method of covering a pot having an upper rim, and containing a floral grouping, comprising:
providing a tubular sleeve having an upper end, a closed lower end, a skirt portion, and a base portion with a decorative pattern and/or color, the tubular sleeve having a first side, a second side, an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface, and an inner retaining space surrounded and defined by the inner peripheral surface, the upper end having an edge, the tubular sleeve initially constructed to have a flattened condition and the base portion comprising excess material therein for forming a bottom in the closed lower end and the tubular sleeve free of an upper portion sized to surround and encompass the floral grouping disposed within the pot; and opening the tubular sleeve to expose the inner retaining space.
- 12. The method of claim 11 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a drainage hole therein.
- 13. The method of claim 11 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a ventilation hole therein.
- 14. The method of claim 11 wherein, in the step of opening the tubular sleeve, at least a portion of the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve is positioned near the upper rim of the pot.
- 15. The method of claim 11 wherein in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve has a non-linear shape.
- 16. A method of covering a pot having an upper rim, and containing a floral grouping, comprising:
providing a tubular sleeve having an upper end, a closed lower end, a skirt portion, and a base portion with a decorative pattern and/or color, the tubular sleeve having a first side, a second side, an inner peripheral surface, an outer peripheral surface, an inner retaining space surrounded and defined by the inner peripheral surface, the upper end having an edge, the tubular sleeve initially constructed to have a flattened condition and the tubular sleeve free of an upper portion sized to surround and encompass the floral grouping disposed within the pot; opening the tubular sleeve to expose the inner retaining space and disposing the pot and floral grouping contained therein into the inner retaining space; and securing the tubular sleeve about the pot with a bonding element selected from the group consisting of strings, ties, ribbons, wires, bands, elastic bands, rubber bands, and shrink materials.
- 17. The method of claim 16 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a drainage hole therein.
- 18. The method of claim 16 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a ventilation hole therein.
- 19. The method of claim 16 wherein, in the step of opening the tubular sleeve, at least a portion of the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve is positioned near the upper rim of the pot.
- 20. The method of claim 16 wherein in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve has a non-linear shape.
- 21. A method of covering a pot having an upper rim, and containing a floral grouping, comprising:
providing a tubular sleeve having an upper end, a closed lower end, a skirt portion, and a base portion with a decorative pattern and/or color, the tubular sleeve having a first side, a second side, an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface, and an inner retaining space surrounded and defined by the inner peripheral surface, the upper end having an edge, the tubular sleeve initially constructed to have a flattened condition and the closed lower end having a gusset therein and the tubular sleeve free of an upper portion sized to surround and encompass the floral grouping disposed within the pot; opening the tubular sleeve to expose the inner retaining space and disposing the pot and floral grouping contained therein into the inner retaining space; and securing the tubular sleeve about the pot with a bonding element selected from the group consisting of strings, ties; ribbons, wires, bands, elastic bands, rubber bands, and shrink materials.
- 22. The method of claim 21 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a drainage hole therein.
- 23. The method of claim 21 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a ventilation hole therein.
- 24. The method of claim 21 wherein, in the step of opening the tubular sleeve, at least a portion of the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve is positioned near the upper rim of the pot.
- 25. The method of claim 21 wherein in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve has a non-linear shape.
- 26. A method of covering a pot having an upper rim and a lower end, and containing a floral grouping, comprising:
providing a tubular sleeve having an upper end, a closed lower end, a skirt portion, and a base portion with a decorative pattern and/or color, the tubular sleeve having a first side, a second side, an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface, and an inner retaining space surrounded and defined by the inner peripheral surface, the upper end having an edge, the tubular sleeve initially constructed to have a flattened condition and the base portion comprising excess material therein for forming a bottom in the closed lower end and the tubular sleeve free of an upper portion sized to surround and encompass the floral grouping disposed within the pot; opening the tubular sleeve to expose the inner retaining space; and securing the tubular sleeve about the pot with a bonding element selected from the group consisting of strings, ties, ribbons, wires, bands, elastic bands, rubber bands, and shrink materials.
- 27. The method of claim 26 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a drainage hole therein.
- 28. The method of claim 26 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the base portion has a ventilation hole therein.
- 29. The method of claim 26 wherein, in the step of opening the tubular sleeve, at least a portion of the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve is positioned near the upper rim of the pot.
- 30. The method of claim 26 wherein in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the edge of the upper end of the tubular sleeve has a non-linear shape.
