Claims
- 1. A method of fabricating a quartz plate of a pressure capsule comprising the steps of:
- 12.1 printing on a suitable surface of the quartz plate an electrically conductive metal-organic ink forming at least one electrode thereon;
- 12.2 drying said ink in atmospheric conditions at a determinable temperature;
- 12.3 gradually increasing the temperature of the quartz plate to free the organic binders in the metal-organic ink;
- 12.4 increasing the temperature of the quartz plate to a level at which the remaining metal will bond to the surface of the quartz plate;
- 12.5 printing on said surface a non-conductive dielectric material, including a glass frit material having organic binders, of determinable shape and thickness;
- 12.6 heating the quartz plate at atmospheric conditions to dry the dielectric material; and
- 12.7 preglazing the quartz plate by raising its temperature in an oxygen enriched environment to change the dielectric material to a glass state and free binders in the dielectric material.
- 2. The method as recited in claim 1 wherein the step of increasing the temperature includes increasing the temperature in an oxygen enriched environment.
- 3. The method as recited in claim 1 wherein the step of preglazing includes raising the temperature in a 1-5 torr partial pressure oxygen enriched environment above atmospheric air pressure.
- 4. The method as recited in claim 3 wherein the step of preglazing including:
- increasing the temperature of the quartz plate to about 900.degree. C. and permitting the quartz plate to remain at the increased temperature for a determinable length of time.
- 5. The method as recited in cliam 4 wherein said determinable time is 6 to 7 minutes.
