Claims
- 1. A method of filling a pipe using a pipe tool, said pipe tool comprising a spade rigidly attached to a handle at a handle angle of 225 degrees.+-.10 degrees, said method of filling comprising the following steps:
- A. Inserting said pipe tool into a bowl tobacco bore rear section so that said spade nests against and covers a bowl smoke bore mouth;
- B. Filling a bowl tobacco bore to overflowing with tobacco;
- C. Tamping said tobacco in a front section of said bowl tobacco bore only downwards at a tamping angle of at least 45 degrees to a bowl tobacco bore vertical axis;
- D. Repeating steps A and B until a level of tobacco over said bowl smoke bore mouth is 1/4-1/2 inches above said bowl smoke bore mouth;
- E. Removing said pipe tool from bowl tobacco bore;
- F. Filling said bowl tobacco bore to overflowing with said tobacco;
- G. Tamping said tobacco in said front of said bowl tobacco bore only downwards at a tamping angle of at least 45 degrees to a bowl tobacco bore vertical axis; and
- H. Repeating steps F and G until a level of tobacco over said bowl smoke bore mouth is slightly below a top edge of said bowl tobacco bore.
- 2. The method of claim 1 further comprising the following step:
- I. If any space remains between said tobacco and said bowl smoke bore mouth, tamping down on said tobacco in said front section of said bowl tobacco bore while simultaneously drawing on the pipe, tamping until slight resistance to the draw is experienced.
- 3. The method of claim 1 further comprising a pipe emptying step of using a pipe tool to scrape by-products of combustion out of said pipe by scraping along said bowl tobacco bore lower surface from said bowl smoke bore mouth in a direction directly away from said bowl smoke bore mouth, whereby said bowl smoke bore mouth is maintained unclogged.
