Claims
- 1. A method of lengthening the flame from a gas burner which produces a substantially planar ribbon flame, the method comprising directing two streams of air symmetrically upon the flame from opposed sides thereof inwardly towards the flame, the two streams of air being directed at equal acute angles in the range of from about 10.degree. to about 30.degree. to the plane of the flame, thereby causing the streams of air to impinge upon and lengthen the flame.
