Claims
- 1. A method for making pinatas comprising the steps of:
- (a.) cutting and scoring a sheet material according to a given pattern;
- (b.) folding said sheet material along the lines of scoring;
- (c.) fastening said sheet material so that it retains its folded form without using any structural elements that are not sheet material;
- (d.) providing a suspension element by which said pinatas can be suspended;
- wherein said folding and fastening steps create a hollow container, said container having a main portion and at least one hollow portion which extends outward from said main portion;
- wherein said portion of said hollow container which extends outward from said main portion is formed by multiple interior folds of said sheet material.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein said sheet material comprises paperboard.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein said sheet material comprises cardboard.
- 4. A method for making pinatas comprising the steps of:
- (a.) cutting and scoring a sheet material according to a given pattern;
- (b.) folding said sheet material along the lines of scoring to form a hollow container for storing treats or candies;
- (c.) fastening said sheet material so that it retains its folded form without the use of any rigid structural elements that are not sheet material;
- (d.) attaching said folded sheet material to a second folded sheet material to form a second hollow container;
- (e.) providing a suspension element by which said pinatas can be suspended;
- wherein said pinata comprises multiple pieces of said sheet material.
- 5. A method for making pinatas as in claim 4, wherein said sheet material is folded so that two overlapping parts of said sheet material form a closure of said pinatas which can be opened by pulling on one of said overlapping parts.
- 6. A method for making pinatas as in claim 4, further comprising the step of:
- (f.) decorating said pinata with fringed tissue paper.
- 7. The method of claim 4, wherein said paperboard comprises cardboard.
- 8. The method of claim 7, wherein said paperboard comprises cardboard.
- 9. A method for making pinatas comprising the steps of:
- (a.) cutting and scoring a first piece of a paperboard material according to a given pattern;
- (b.) folding said paperboard material along the lines of scoring to form a hollow container for holding treats or candies;
- (c.) fastening said paperboard material so that it retains its folded form without using any structural elements that are not paperboard;
- (d.) attaching a second piece of folded paperboard material to the folded form of said first piece to form a second hollow container;
- (e.) providing a suspension element by which said pinata can be suspended.
- 10. The method of claim 9, wherein said paperboard material is cardstock.
- 11. The method of claim 9, wherein tabs and slots in said paperboard material are used in said fastening step to retain the folded form.
- 12. The method of claim 10, wherein said cardstock is cardboard.
- 13. A method for making pinatas comprising the steps of:
- (a.) cutting and scoring a first piece of a paperboard material according to a given pattern;
- (b.) folding said paperboard material along the lines of scoring to form a hollow container said container having a main portion and at least one hollow portion which extends outward from said main portion;
- (c.) fastening said paperboard material so that it retains its folded form without using structural elements which are not of paperboard;
- (d.) providing a suspension element by which said pinatas can be suspended;
- wherein said portion of said hollow container which extends outward from said main portion is formed by multiple interior folds of said paperboard material.
- 14. The method of claim 13, wherein said paperboard material is cardstock.
- 15. The method of claim 14, wherein said cardstock is cardboard.
