Claims
- 1. A method of making a membrane-electrode assembly, comprising the steps of:(a) adding particles of an electrochemically active material to a solution comprising a binder polymer and a mixture of perfluoro(methyl-di-n-butyl)amine and perfluoro(tri-n-butylamine) to form a coating formulation; and (b) coating a membrane with the coating formulation.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the particles of the electrochemically active material comprise ruthenium dioxide and the binder polymer comprises a copolymer polymerized from tetrafluoroethylene and a vinyl ether represented by the formula CF2═CF—O—CF2CF(CF3)—O—CF2CF2SO2F.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the particles of the electrochemically active material are ground to have an average diameter of less than 5 microns.
