Claims
- 1. A process for molding an aspheric soft intraocular lens comprising the steps of:
- forming a mold in the shape of an aspheric intraocular lens;
- filling said mold with a molding compound; and
- curing said molding compound such that the cured compound becomes a soft, bio-compatible material.
- 2. A process for molding an aspheric soft intraocular lens as defined in claim 1 wherein said soft, bio-compatible material is silicone.
- 3. A process for molding an aspheric soft intraocular lens as defined in claim 1 wherein said soft, bio-compatible material is hydrogel.
- 4. A process for molding an aspheric soft intraocular lens as defined in claim 1 wherein said forming step comprises coining.
