Claims
- 1. A composite twisted elongated yarn comprising an elongated first strand of foamed polymer material twisted together with an elongated second strand of foamed polymer material forming a composite yarn having a twisted shape.
- 2. The yarn of claim 1, wherein said first and second strands are adhered to each other over intermittent portions of their outer surfaces along their length.
- 3. The yarn of claim 1, wherein said first and second strands are adhered to each other uninterrupted over their outer surfaces along their length.
- 4. The yarn of claim 1, wherein said first and second strands are different from each other in at least one of size, shape and surface configuration.
- 5. The yarn of claim 1, wherein said first and second strands include an elongated core yarn of polymer material different from the polymer material of said first and second strands.
- 6. The yarn of claim 1, wherein said first strand has a different surface appearance than said second strand.
- 7. A composite twisted elongated yarn comprising an elongated first strand of foamed polymer material having a deformed outer surface and a non-uniform cross-section over its entire length; and an elongated second strand of foamed polymer material having a deformed outer surface and a non-uniform cross-section over its entire length; said first and second strands twisted together over their entire length to form a composite yarn therefrom having a twisted shape.
- 8. The yarn of claim 7, wherein said first and second strands are adhered to each other over intermittent portions of their outer surfaces along their length.
- 9. The yarn of claim 7, wherein said first and second strands are adhered to each other uninterrupted over their outer surfaces along their length.
- 10. The yarn of claim 7, wherein said first and second strands are different from each other in at least one of size, shape and surface configuration.
- 11. The yarn of claim 7, wherein said first and second strands include an elongated core yarn of polymer material different from the polymer material of said first and second strands.
- 12. The yarn of claim 7, wherein said first strand has a different surface appearance than said second strand.
- 13. A woven panel comprising a plurality of first yarns woven together with a plurality of second yarns, at least one of said first and second yarns comprising first and second elongated strands of polymer material twisted together over their length, at least one of said first and second strands comprising foamed polymer material.
- 14. The woven panel of claim 13, wherein said first and second yarns are adhered to each other over intermittent portions of their outer surfaces along their length.
- 15. The woven panel of claim 13, wherein said first and second yarns are adhered to each other uninterrupted over their outer surfaces along their length.
- 16. The woven panel of claim 13, wherein said first and second yarns are different from each other in at least one of size, shape and surface configuration.
- 17. The woven panel of claim 13, wherein said first yarn has a different surface appearance than said second yarn.
- 18. The woven panel of claim 13, wherein said first and second strands are adhered to each other over intermittent portions of their outer surfaces along their length.
- 19. The woven panel of claim 13, wherein said first and second strands are adhered to each other uninterrupted over their outer surfaces along their length.
- 20. The woven panel of claim 13, wherein each of said first and second strands comprise foamed polymer material.
- 21. The woven panel of claim 20, wherein said first and second strands each have a deformed outer surface and a non-uniform cross-section over their entire length.
- 22. The woven panel of claim 13, wherein said first yarn comprises first and second elongated strands of foamed polymer material twisted together over their length, and said second yarn comprises at least third and fourth elongated yarns of polymer material twisted together over their entire length, at least one of said third and fourth strands comprising foamed polymer material.
- 23. The article of claim 22, wherein each of said third and fourth strands comprise foamed polymer material.
- 24. The woven panel of claim 23, wherein said first, second, third and fourth strands each have a deformed outer surface and a non-uniform cross-section over their entire length.
- 25. The woven panel of claim 22, wherein said third and fourth strands are different from each other in at least one of size, shape and surface configuration.
- 26. The woven panel of claim 22, wherein said third and fourth strands have a different surface appearance than said first and second strands.
- 27. The woven panel of claim 22, wherein said first and second strands are adhered to said third and fourth strands over their outer surfaces along their length.
- 28. The woven panel of claim 13, wherein said first and second yarns each have a deformed outer surface and a non-uniform cross-section over their entire length.
- 29. The woven panel of claim 28, wherein said first and second yarns each have a core of polymer material.
- 30. An article of furniture comprising a frame having the shape of an article of furniture, and a woven panel of polymer material attached to said frame, said woven portion comprising a plurality of warp yarns woven together with a plurality of weft yarns, said warp yarns comprising at least first and second elongated strands of foamed polymer material twisted together over their length, and said weft yarns comprising at least third and fourth elongated strands of foamed polymer material twisted together over their entire length.
- 31. The article of claim 30, wherein said first and second strands are adhered to each other over their outer surfaces along their length.
- 32. The article of claim 30, wherein said first and second strands are different from each other in at least one of size, shape and surface configuration.
- 33. The article of claim 30, wherein said first strand has a different surface appearance than said second strand.
- 34. The article of claim 30, wherein said third and fourth strands are adhered to each other over their outer surfaces along their length.
- 35. The article of claim 30, wherein said third and fourth strands are different from each other in at least one of size, shape and surface configuration.
- 36. The article of claim 30, wherein said third strand has a different surface appearance than said fourth strand.
- 37. The article of claim 30, wherein said first and second strands are adhered to said third and fourth strands over their outer surfaces along their length.
- 38. The article of claim 30, wherein said first and second strands each have a deformed outer surface and a non-uniform cross-section over their entire length.
- 39. The article of claim 38, wherein said of third and fourth strands have a deformed outer surface and a non-uniform cross-section over their entire length.
- 40. An article of furniture comprising a frame having the shape of an article of furniture, and a woven panel of polymer material attached to said frame, said woven portion comprising a plurality of first yarns woven together with a plurality of second yarns, at least one of said first and second yarns comprising first and second elongated strands of polymer material twisted together over their length, at least one of said first and second strands comprising foamed polymer material.
- 41. The article of claim 40, wherein said first yarn comprises first and second elongated strands each of foamed polymer material twisted together over their length, and said second yarn comprises at least third and fourth elongated yarns of polymer material twisted together over their entire length, at least one of said third and fourth strands comprising foamed polymer material.
- 42. The article of claim 41, wherein said third and fourth strands each comprise foamed polymer material.
- 43. The article of claim 42, wherein said first and second strands have a deformed outer surface and a non-uniform cross-section over their entire length.
- 44. The article of claim 43, wherein said third and fourth strands each have a deformed outer surface and a non-uniform cross-section over their entire length.
- 45. The article of claim 40, wherein said first yarns are adhered to said second yarns over their outer surfaces along their length.
