Claims
- 1. A method of manufacturing a structural body, comprising the steps of:
abutting two members; at a beginning end of a friction stir welding, welding an abutted portion of a face of a side in which a rotary tool for the friction stir welding is positioned and an abutted portion of a face of an end portion of said member; at a side of a finishing end of the friction stir welding from said welded position, starting the friction stir welding by inserting said rotary tool.
- 2. A manufacturing method according to claim 1, wherein
said member is a hollow frame member, and welding is carried out from a seat for supporting a face plate of an opposite part of said hollow frame member to an outer face of said hollow frame member.
- 3. A method of manufacturing a structural body, comprising the steps of:
mounting two members on an arc shaped bed and abutting said two members against each other; at a beginning end of a friction stir welding, welding an abutted portion of a face of a side in which a rotary tool for the friction stir welding is positioned and an abutted portion of a face of an end portion of said member; at a side of a finishing end of the friction stir welding from said welded position, starting the friction stir welding by inserting said rotary tool.
