Claims
- 1. A method of applying vibration damping resin to an object surface, comprising the steps of:
- connecting vibration damping resin sheets together to form a continuous body;
- attaching a string to a leading edge of said continuous body;
- moving said continuous body into position on said object surface by pulling on said string; and
- bonding said vibration damping resin sheets of said continuous body to said object surface.
- 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the step of connecting vibration damping resin sheets together comprises attaching said resin sheets to a plastic film.
- 3. The method according to claim 2, wherein said moving step comprises positioning said continuous body on said object surface such that a surface of said vibration damping resin sheets opposite said plastic film is contacted with said object surface.
- 4. The method according to claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein said bonding step comprises heating said resin sheets.
- 5. The method according to claim 2, wherein said moving step comprises positioning said continuous body on said object surface such that said plastic film is contacted with said object surface.
- 6. The method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of:
- embossing an irregular pattern to the surface of said vibration damping resin sheets to be attached to the object surface.
- 7. A method of applying vibration damping resin to an object surface, comprising the steps of:
- connecting vibration damping resin sheets together to form a continuous body including substeps of arranging each of said resin sheets on a plastic film and attaching each of said resin sheets to said plastic film;
- moving said continuous body into position on said object surface; and
- bonding said vibration damping resin sheets of said continuous body to said object surface, wherein
- said moving step comprises positioning said continuous body on said object surface such that said plastic film is contacted with said object surface, and wherein
- said bonding step comprises melting said plastic film.
- 8. A method of applying vibration damping resin to an object surface, comprising the steps of:
- connecting vibration damping resin sheets together to form a continuous body;
- moving said continuous body into position on said object surface;
- bonding said vibration damping resin sheets of said continuous body to said object surface; and
- embossing an irregular pattern to the surface of said vibration damping resin sheets to be attached to the object surface, wherein
- said irregular pattern is a pattern in which grooves cross each other and in which holes are formed through said vibration damping resin sheets at the points where said grooves cross.
