Claims
- 1. A non-aqueous battery with a porous highly-airtightened paper separator, comprising:a non-aqueous battery cell encasing a positively-active substance and a negatively-active substance; and a paper web separates said positively-active substance and said negatively-active substance, and said paper web having an airtightness of no less than 1000 sec/100 cc.
- 2. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 1, wherein said paper web has a density of no more than 0.6 g/cm3.
- 3. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 2, wherein said paper web has a thickness of no more than 100 microns.
- 4. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 1, wherein said paper web has a thickness of no more than 100 microns.
- 5. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 1, wherein said paper web is formed from cellulose.
- 6. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 5, wherein said cellulose is comprised of cellulose fibers.
- 7. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 6, wherein said cellulose fibers have a diameter of no more than 1 micron.
- 8. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 7, wherein said cellulose fibers have been beaten to a JIS-CSF value of no more than 200 ml.
- 9. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 7, wherein said cellulose fibers have been beaten to a value of no more than 700 ml measured by modified CSF.
- 10. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 6, wherein said cellulose fibers are micro-fibrillated cellulose.
- 11. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 1, wherein said paper web further comprises inorganic fillers.
- 12. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 11, wherein said inorganic fillers are selected from the group consisting of aluminum borate and potassium titanate.
- 13. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 1, wherein said positively-active substance is selected from the group consisting of metal chalchogen compounds, lithium composite metal oxides, high polymers, and fluorocarbon.
- 14. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 13, wherein said metal chalchogen compounds are selected from the group consisting of TiS2, MoS2, and NbSe.
- 15. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 13, wherein said lithium composite metal oxides are selected from the group consisting of LiCoO2, LiNiO2, and LixMnO4.
- 16. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 13, wherein said high polymers are selected from the group consisting of polyaniline and polypyrrole.
- 17. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 1, wherein said negatively-active substance is selected from the group consisting of lithium metals, lithium alloys, carbonaceous materials, conductive polymeric material, and metal oxides.
- 18. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 17, wherein said lithium alloy is LiAl.
- 19. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 17, wherein said carbonaceous materials are selected from the group consisting of graphites, pyrolytic carbons, pitch cokes, needle cokes, petroleum cokes, and calcined polymeric organic substances.
- 20. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 17, wherein said conductive polymeric materials are selected from the group consisting of polyacenes and poly-P-phenylenes.
- 21. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 17, wherein said metal oxides are selected from the group consisting of LixFe2O2 and LixWO2.
- 22. A non-aqueous battery with a porous highly-airtightened paper separator, comprising:a non-aqueous battery cell encasing a positively-active substance and a negatively-active substance; and a cellulosic paper web separates said positively-active substance and said negatively-active substance, and said cellulosic paper web having an airtightness of no less than 1000 sec/100 cc and a thickness of no more than 100 microns.
- 23. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 22, wherein said cellulosic paper web has a density of no more than 0.6 g/cm3.
- 24. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 22, wherein said cellulosic paper web is comprised of cellulose fibers.
- 25. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 24, wherein said cellulose fibers have a diameter of no more than 1 micron.
- 26. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 25, wherein said cellulose fibers have been beaten to a JIS-CSF value of no more than 200 ml.
- 27. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 25, wherein said cellulose fibers have been beaten to a value of no more than 700 ml measured by modified CSF.
- 28. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 24, wherein said cellulose fibers are micro-fibrillated cellulose.
- 29. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 22, wherein said cellulosic paper web further comprises inorganic fillers.
- 30. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 29, wherein said inorganic fillers are selected from the group consisting of aluminum borate and potassium titanate.
- 31. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 22, wherein said positively-active substance is selected from the group consisting of metal chalchogen compounds, lithium composite metal oxides, high polymers, and fluorocarbon.
- 32. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 31, wherein said metal chalchogen compounds are selected from the group consisting of TiS2, MoS2, and NbSe.
- 33. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 31, wherein said lithium composite metal oxides are selected from the group consisting of LiCoO2, LiNiO2, and LixMnO4.
- 34. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 31, wherein said high polymers are selected from the group consisting of polyaniline and polypyrrole.
- 35. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 22, wherein said negatively-active substance is selected from the group consisting of lithium metals, lithium alloys, carbonaceous materials, conductive polymeric material, and metal oxides.
- 36. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 35, wherein said lithium alloy is LiAl.
- 37. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 35, wherein said carbonaceous materials are selected from the group consisting of graphites, pyrolytic carbons, pitch cokes, needle cokes, petroleum cokes, and calcined polymeric organic substances.
- 38. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 35, wherein said conductive polymeric materials are selected from the group consisting of polyacenes and poly-P-phenylenes.
- 39. A non-aqueous battery as in claim 35, wherein said metal oxides are selected from the group consisting of LixFe2O2 and LixWO2.
- 40. A non-aqueous battery with a porous highly-airtightened paper separator, comprising:a non-aqueous battery cell encasing a positively-active substance and a negatively-active substance; and a cellulosic paper web separates said positively-active substance and said negatively-active substance, and said cellulosic paper web having an airtightness of no less than 1000 sec/100 cc and a density of no more than 0.6 g/cm3.
