Claims
- 1. A finely divided magnesium powder composition consisting essentially of 96-99% by weight of finely divided magnesium powder and 1-4% of one transition metal of groups IV-VIII of the Periodic Table, said composition being capable of reversibly sorbing hydrogen in an amount of 6.5-7.65% by weight at about 250.degree.-400.degree. C.
- 2. Magnesium according to claim 1, produced by contacting the magnesium and transition metal dry.
- 3. Magnesium according to claim 1, produced by contacting the magnesium and transition metal in an organic liquid.
- 4. Magnesium according to claim 1, wherein the transition metal consists essentially of nickel.
