Claims
- 1. A method of producing a strip suitable for further processing to yield a (110)[001] grain oriented electrical steel comprising the steps of:
a. obtaining a strip having a thickness of ≦0.39 in (10 mm); b. hot rolling the strip; c. annealing the strip; and d. having a strain/recrystallization parameter, (K*)−1, ≧about 6500; having a strain/recrystalization parameter, (K*)−1, ≧about 6500; wherein, 14(K*)-1=(THBA)ln[e.015exp(7616THR)ln(tctf)]THBA is the annealing temperature of the strip (in ° Kelvin), THR is the hot rolling temperature of the strip (in ° Kelvin), {dot over (ε)} is the strain rate of hot rolling, ti is the initial thickness of the strip before hot rolling, and tf is the final thickness of the strip after hot rolling.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein (K*)−1≧about 7000.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein (K*)−1≧about 8000.
