Claims
- 1. A method of treating a contact lens, comprising:
- providing a fluid-tight lens storage container having at least one cap member removably attached thereto and at least one lens storage chamber at least partially defined by a partition structure having a plurality of holes;
- placing a liquid for treating the contact lens in said fluid-tight lens storage container and placing a contact lens within a corresponding one of said at least one lens storage chamber;
- inserting said fluid-tight lens storage container into an inner space of an outer casing having a cylindrical body open at least at one of opposite axial ends thereof;
- closing said at least one axial open end of said outer casing with at least one lid removably attached to said cylindrical body; and
- axially shaking or repeatedly inverting the outer casing to reciprocally axially slide the lens storage container within the outer casing and force the cleaning liquid to flow within the lens storage container so as to clean the contact lens.
- 2. A method of treating a contact lens according to claim 1, wherein said contact lens is placed in said fluid-tight lens storage container such that the contact lens is positioned in the corresponding one lens storage chamber to have a horizontal attitude in which an axis of the contact lens is substantially parallel to an axial direction of said cylindrical body of said outer casing.
- 3. A method of treating a contact lens according to claim 1, wherein said partition structure comprises a center plate and two pivotable members which are pivotably disposed on the opposite sides of said center plate, said two pivotable members having respective basket portions for accommodating said contact lens, said step of placing said contact lens in said lens storage container comprising positioning said contact lens in a corresponding one of said basket portions while said two pivotable members are pivoted away from said center plate.
- 4. A method of treating a contact lens, comprising:
- placing a contact lens and an amount of liquid for treating the contact lens in a fluid-tight lens storage container having at least one cap member removably attached thereto, said amount of said liquid to be poured into said fluid-tight lens storage container being smaller than an inner volume of said fluid-tight lens storage container;
- inserting the lens storage container into an inner space of an outer casing having a cylindrical body open at least at one of opposite axial ends thereof;
- 5. A method of treating a contact lens according to claim 4, wherein said amount of said liquid is substantially half of the inner volume of said fluid-tight lens storage container.
- 6. A method of treating a contact lens, comprising:
- placing a contact lens and liquid for treating the contact lens in a fluid-tight lens storage container having at least one cap member removably attached thereto;
- inserting the lens storage container into an inner space of an outer casing having a cylindrical body open at opposite axial ends thereof;
- closing each said axial open end of said outer casing with a lid member removably attached to said cylindrical body, wherein said lid members have axially opposite concave outer surfaces; and
- axially shaking or repeatedly inverting the outer casing by gripping said axially opposite concave outer surfaces of said two lid members to reciprocally axially slide the lens storage container within the outer casing and force the cleaning liquid to flow within the lens storage container so as to clean the contact lens.
