Claims
- 1. A method for wrapping a floral grouping comprising:
- providing a sheet of material having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side, a first width near the first end and extending generally from the first side to the second side, and a second width near the second end and extending generally from the first side to the second side, and wherein the sheet of material has a closure bonding material disposed on at least one of the upper and the lower surfaces thereof, and wherein the sheet of material has a handle integral to the sheet of material, the handle comprising a portion of the sheet of material and extending from near the first end of the sheet of material;
- providing a floral grouping having a stem end and a bloom end;
- disposing the floral grouping on the upper surface of the sheet of material with the bloom end of the floral grouping positioned generally near the first end of the sheet;
- wrapping the sheet of material about the floral grouping and disposing the closure bonding material adjacent a portion of the sheet of material whereby the closure bonding material bondingly engages with and connects to an adjacent portion of the sheet of material for cooperating to secure the sheet of material wrapped about the floral grouping to provide a wrapper for the floral grouping, the wrapper having an upper end and a lower end opposite the upper end and with the handle extending from the upper end of the wrapper, and wherein the bloom end of the floral grouping is positioned near the upper end and wherein the handle can be grasped for carrying the wrapper with the floral grouping in a generally vertical orientation with the bloom end oriented upwardly and the stem end oriented downwardly.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of providing the sheet of material is defined further as providing the sheet of material constructed of a material selected from a group of materials consisting of a polymer film, metal foil, fiber (woven or unwoven or natural or synthetic), burlap, paper (untreated or treated in any manner) or combinations thereof.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of providing the sheet of material is defined further as providing the sheet of material having a thickness in a range from about 0.1 mils to about 30 mils.
- 4. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of providing a sheet of material is defined further as providing the sheet of material having a thickness in a range from about 0.1 mils to about 5 mils.
- 5. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sheet of material, the sheet of material comprises a portion of a roll of material wherein the sheet of material can be detachably or severingly removed from the roll of material.
- 6. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of wrapping the sheet of material about the floral grouping to form the wrapper is defined further as wrapping the sheet of material about the floral grouping to form the wrapper and wrapping the sheet of material tightly about the stem end of the floral grouping.
- 7. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of wrapping the sheet of material about the floral grouping to form the wrapper is defined further as wrapping the sheet of material about the floral grouping to form the wrapper and tightly wrapping the sheet of material about the stem end with a portion of the stem end of the floral grouping extending through the lower end of the wrapper.
- 8. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of wrapping the sheet of material further comprises wrapping the sheet of material about the floral grouping to form the wrapper with the wrapper being generally conically shaped.
- 9. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of wrapping the sheet of material further comprises tightly wrapping the sheet of material about a portion of the floral grouping to form the wrapper and the wrapper being generally cylindrically shaped.
- 10. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sheet of material, the first width of the sheet is greater than the second width of the sheet.
- 11. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sheet of material, the first width of the sheet is substantially equal to the second width of the sheet.
- 12. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sheet of material the handle of the sheet of material further comprises a reinforcing member for providing additional strength to the handle.
- 13. The method of claim 1 comprising the additional step of providing a second sheet of material having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side, a first width near the first end extending generally from the first side to the second side, and a second width near the second end extending generally from the first side to the second side, and wherein the second sheet of material is disposed upon a portion of the upper surface of the first sheet of material before the first sheet is wrapped about the floral grouping.
- 14. The method of claim 13 wherein in the step of providing a second sheet of material, the first width of the second sheet of material is less than the first width of the first sheet of material and the second width of the second sheet of material is less than the second width of the first sheet of material.
- 15. The method of claim 13 wherein the second sheet of material has a handle comprising a portion of the second sheet of material which extends from near the first end of the second sheet of material.
- 16. The method of claim 15 wherein the second sheet of material has a second handle comprising a portion of the second sheet of material which extends from near the first end of the second sheet of material.
- 17. The method of claim 15 wherein in the step of providing the second sheet of material the handle of the second sheet of material further comprises a reinforcing member for providing additional strength to the handle.
- 18. The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of providing the sheet of material, the sheet of material comprises a second handle disposed in a position adjacent the first handle.
- 19. The method of claim 18 comprising the additional step of providing a second sheet of material having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side, a first width near the first end extending generally from the first side to the second side, and a second width near the second end extending generally from the first side to the second side, and wherein the sheet of material is disposed upon a portion of the upper surface of the first sheet of material in such a way that the first handle and the second handle of the first sheet of material are left uncovered by the second sheet of material when the second sheet of material is disposed upon the first sheet of material.
- 20. The method of claim 13 wherein in the step of providing a second sheet of material, the second sheet of material is attached to the first sheet of material.
- 21. A method for wrapping a floral grouping comprising:
- providing a floral grouping having a stem end and a bloom end;
- providing a first sheet of material having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side, a first width near the first end and extending generally from the first side to the second side, and a second width near the second end and extending generally from the first side to the second side, and wherein the first sheet of material has a closure bonding material disposed on at least one of the upper and the lower surfaces thereof, and wherein the first sheet of material has a handle integral thereto, the handle comprising a portion of the first sheet of material and extending from near the first end thereof;
- providing a second sheet of material having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side, a first width near the first end extending generally from the first side to the second side, and a second width near the second end extending generally from the first side to the second side, wherein the second sheet of material has a handle comprising a portion thereof which extends from near the first end of the second sheet of material, and wherein the second sheet of material is disposed upon a portion of the upper surface of the first sheet of material before the first sheet is wrapped about the floral grouping;
- disposing the floral grouping on the upper surface of the second sheet of material;
- wrapping the first and second sheets of material about the floral grouping and disposing the closure bonding material adjacent a portion of at least one of the sheets of material whereby the closure bonding material bondingly engages with and connects to an adjacent portion of one of the sheets of material for cooperating to secure the sheets of material wrapped about the floral grouping to provide a wrapper for the floral grouping, the wrapper having an open upper end and an open lower end and with the handle being disposed near the open upper end of the wrapper, and wherein the handle can be grasped for carrying the wrapper with the floral grouping disposed therein.
- 22. The method of claim 21 wherein in the step of providing the second sheet of material, the handle of the second sheet of material further comprises a reinforcing member for providing additional strength to the handle.
- 23. The method of claim 21 wherein the second sheet of material has a second handle comprising a portion of the second sheet of material which extends from near the first end of the second sheet of material.
- 24. A method for wrapping a floral grouping comprising:
- providing a floral grouping having a stem end and a bloom end;
- providing a first sheet of material having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side, a first width near the first end and extending generally from the first side to the second side, and a second width near the second end and extending generally from the first side to the second side, and wherein the first sheet of material has a closure bonding material disposed on at least one of the upper and the lower surfaces thereof, and wherein the first sheet of material has a handle integral thereto, the handle comprising a portion of the first sheet of material and extending from near the first end thereof;
- providing a second sheet of material having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side, a first width near the first end extending generally from the first side to the second side, and a second width near the second end extending generally from the first side to the second side, and wherein the second sheet of material is disposed upon a portion of the upper surface of the first sheet of material and attached thereto before the first sheet is wrapped about the floral grouping;
- disposing the floral grouping on the upper surface of the second sheet of material;
- wrapping the first and second sheets of material about the floral grouping and disposing the closure bonding material adjacent a portion of at least one of the sheets of material whereby the closure bonding material bondingly engages with and connects to an adjacent portion of one of the sheets of material for cooperating to secure the sheets of material wrapped about the floral grouping to provide a wrapper for the floral grouping, the wrapper having an open upper end and an open lower end and with the handle being disposed near the open upper end of the wrapper, and wherein the handle can be grasped for carrying the wrapper with the floral grouping disposed therein.
