Claims
- 1. A management method of writing data in a memory device with a memory area having a plurality of sectors unable to be overwritten, said memory device erasing data by the unit of one sector, said method comprising the steps of;
- transferring to a primary memory storage first data to be written into one of the sectors;
- erasing second data in said one of the sectors at the same time as said step of transferring; and
- writing said first data into said one of the sectors after finishing both said step of transferring and said step of erasing.
- 2. The management method as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a step of rewriting a decode table for managing said sectors when at least one defective sector is generated, said decode table being rewritten so that a sector in a backup area is used by replacing said defective sector.
- 3. The management method as claimed in claim 2, further comprising a step of reconstructing an arrangement of said sectors by rewriting a decode table for managing said sectors when said backup area becomes unusable.
