- 2. A mounting system in accordance with claim 1 wherein said second member comprises a bumper configured to facilitate bracing said mounting system, said second member has a substantially rectangular cross-sectional profile.
- 3. A mounting system in accordance with claim 1 wherein said first member configured to contact the ground to facilitate bracing said mounting system.
- 4. A mounting system in accordance with claim 1 further comprising a third member and a fourth member, said third member substantially perpendicular to said second member, said fourth member substantially perpendicular to said first member.
- 5. A mounting system in accordance with claim 1 further comprising a pulley and winch system configured to attach to the ladder for raising and lowering at least one of said support system, said suspension mount, and the work platform during assembly of said mounting system.
- 6. A mounting system in accordance with claim 1 further comprising a third member and a fourth member, said third member substantially parallel to said first member, said fourth member substantially parallel to said second member, said third member identical with said first member, said fourth member identical with said second member.
- 7. A mounting system in accordance with claim 1 wherein said suspension mount comprises a hook assembly sized to engage at least one ladder rung, said suspension mount further comprising at least one locking member configured to secure said hook assembly to the one rung.
- 8. A mounting system for mounting a work platform to a ladder including at least a first rung, a second rung, and a third rung, said mounting system comprising:
a support system comprising a plurality of members, at least a first of said plurality of members comprising a first end and a second end, said first member positionable along its length between said first and second ends, at least a second of said plurality of members configured to extend between said first member and the ladder first rung such that said second member is substantially perpendicular to said first member; a rod configured to secure said support system to the ladder, said rod further configured to extend through one of the rungs; and a suspension mount attached to said support system, said suspension mount configured to attach to the ladder rung.
- 9. A mounting system in accordance with claim 8 wherein said support system first member comprises a plurality of openings extending between said first and said second ends.
- 10. A mounting system in accordance with claim 8 wherein said suspension mount comprises a hook assembly sized to engage at least one ladder rung, said suspension mount further comprising at least one locking member configured to secure said hook assembly to the one rung.
- 11. A mounting system in accordance with claim 8 wherein said second member configured to attach to the work platform, said second member comprising a first end and a second end, said second member first and second ends comprising a plurality of first openings extending therethrough.
- 12. A mounting system in accordance with claim 11 wherein at least one of said second member first and second ends configured to facilitate bracing said mounting system
- 13. A mounting system in accordance with claim 11 wherein at least one of said second member first and second ends comprising a bumper.
- 14. A mounting system in accordance with claim 8 further comprising a pulley and winch system configured to attach to the ladder for raising and lowering the work platform during assembly of said mounting system.
- 15. A mounting system in accordance with claim 8 wherein said suspension mount comprises a threaded rod and at least one nut, said threaded rod configured to extend through one of the rungs and through said support system.
- 16. A mounting system in accordance with claim 8 further comprising a third member and a fourth member, at least one of said third member and said fourth member identical with said second member, said fourth member substantially perpendicular with respect to said first member.
- 17. A mounting system in accordance with claim 16 wherein at least one of said plurality of support system members comprises a device configured to facilitate adjust an amount of tautness within at least one of said first member and said third member.
- 18. A mounting system in accordance with claim 16 wherein said first member identical with said third member, said second member identical with said fourth member, said first and third members comprising at least one of a strap, a wire, and a chain.
- 19. A mounting system in accordance with claim 18 wherein said first member configured to couple to said second member, said first member configured to extend around the second ladder rung and couple to the third ladder rung, such that work platform is positioned between the ladder and said second member.
- 20. A mounting system in accordance with claim 18 wherein said first member and said third member comprise a ratcheting device and a hook assembly, said second and fourth members configured to couple to the work platform.
