Claims
- 1. A tamper-resistant informational article comprising:
an opaque base member having a lower surface and an upper surface, at least one hologram formed in the upper surface of said base member, a partially metallized layer overlying said hologram, and a transparent lens secured in overlying relationship with respect to said base member.
- 2. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 1 including
said partially metallized layer including a plurality of partially metallized portions.
- 3. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 2 including
information provided at least partially overlying said partially metallized layer.
- 4. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 2 including
information provided at least partially underlying said partially metallized layer.
- 5. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 2 including
said opaque base member being composed of a resinous plastic material.
- 6. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 2 including
at least a portion of said hologram being visible through said partially metallized layer.
- 7. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 4 including
at least a portion of said underlying information being visible through said partially metallized layer.
- 8. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 1 including
said informational article being a card.
- 9. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 1 including
information provided on said article between said opaque base member and said transparent lens.
- 10. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 9 including
said information including fixed information and variable information.
- 11. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 3 including
information provided at least partially underlying said partially metallized layer.
- 12. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 2 including
at least one of said partially metallized portions permitting said underlying hologram to be seen therethrough.
- 13. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 2 including
at least one of said partially metallized portions having information underlying said partially metallized layer which resists visual viewing thereof.
- 14. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 3 including
said information being printed information.
- 15. The tamper-resistant informational article of claim 3 including
information provided at least partially underlying said partially metallized layer.
- 16. A method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article comprising
providing an opaque resinous base member having a lower surface and an upper surface, creating a hologram in the upper surface of said base member, partially metallizing said upper surface, and permanently securing a transparent lens overlying said base member upper surface.
- 17. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 16 including
creating a plurality of partially metallized portions within said partially metallized layer.
- 18. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 17 including
creating information at least partially overlying said partially metallized portions.
- 19. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 17 including
providing information at least partially underlying said partially metallized portions.
- 20. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 17 including
providing at least some of said partially metallized portions with portions of said hologram visible therethrough.
- 21. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 19 including
providing said underlying information such that it will be visible through said partially metallized portions.
- 22. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 16 including
creating said informational article as a card.
- 23. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 16 including
creating information between said opaque base member upper surface and said transparent lens.
- 24. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 23 including
creating said information with both fixed information and variable information.
- 25. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 18 including
creating said information at least partially underlying said partially metallized portions.
- 26. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 16 including
providing a photograph within and overlying a said partially metallized zone which in turn overlies a hologram.
- 27. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 19 including
creating said partially metallized portions such that underlying holograms or information can be viewed therethrough.
- 28. The method of creating a tamper-resistant informational article of claim 18 including
providing said information by printing.
