Claims
- 1. A method of alleviating pain and inflammation in mammals, including humans, suffering from pain and inflammation, which comprises; administering to the mammal an effective amount of a compound selected from those of the formula: ##STR6## wherein X represents a moiety of formula: ##STR7## R taken independently is hydrogen; R.sub.1 taken independently is isobutyl; R.sub.2 is a group of the formula: ##STR8## wherein R.sub.3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and methyl, R.sub.4 is selected from the group consisting of methyl and trifluoromethyl; and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein the compound selected is pivaloyloxymethyl N-[3'-(trifluoromethyl) phenyl] anthranylate.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein the compound selected is pivaloyloxymethyl N(2'3'-xylyl) anthranylate.
